Looking for a featherbed--This is the one!! I was leary when I received it and opened it up because of past experiences with purchasing other featherbeds. Not this one--they are not kidding when they say 5-inches thick it really is!! And to receive a cover sheet for that price-unbelievable.
Lay it out on your bed and slide your cover sheet on--it begins to instantly fluff up and rise. I pushed the sides in and the top and bottom in and up until it is piled up like a pyramid on my bed, I let it sit that way to air out and fluff up. It really works--I do this every other week to really fluff it up-- and believe me it responds.
I have to tell you that it is truly like sleeping on a cloud!! I had a friend who was store buying featherbeds for twice the cost and returning them because he was so dissatisfied. I told him to purchase this one and he loves it. He said,"Finally a featherbed that is all that it says it is...I cannot believe how comfortable this is." It is well worth the price..... and one comparable in quality would easily go for twice the price. If you have had similiar experiences with trying to find a good featherbed--Seriously!!---Look No More--This Is The One!!
Wonderful sheets! Purchased Ivory 1st, then sage. These sheets are great but do need a "breaking in time" as is the case with most high TC bedding. Because they are thick heavy sheets you really need to wash them probably a dozen cycles to start feeling just how soft they become. I have similar quality white sheets, also Egyptian cotton, they have been washed multiple times the past yr & now are sooooo!!!! soft. What you're paying for is the density of weaving, that's what "thread count" means, to those not accustomed to this they may seem heavy & even a little scratchy at 1st. Once broken in, you'll love them & sleep so well you'll never go back and they will last for many yrs, they are an investment. RE: wrinkling issue, 1st they are cotton, 2nd launder as recommended, 3rd dry top & bottom sheets separately with a tennis ball in the dryer (old trick) that keeps them from "balling up", 4th fold & stack nicely; this should smooth out most of the wrinkles. I alternate my linens, touch up top sheet/ pillow cases with iron & my bed always looks & feels WONDERFUL!!! Overstock is great, prices can't be beat & customer service is fab. Invest in these linens, you'll be glad you did (WHAT'S MORE IMPORTANT THAN OUR SLEEP?)
I purchased this 4" memory foam mattress topper as a last effort to find something that would help me sleep better. I have been fighting a few horrible disease's called Fibromyalgia and Rheumatoid Arthristis and Chronic Fatigue for years and have never slept through the night. I'm only 44yrs old and too young to feel so old. The first time I put on my memory foam topper, I just layed there with no pain and instant relief. I didn't even get into my pajamas; because I fell asleep within minutes and to my amazement, slept all night long in the same postion. I woke up in complete shock and actually for the first time could walk to the bathroom without feeling stiff and bouncing off my furniture to just hold me up because of the pain. There's not a prescription from any of my doctor's that could have provided me with such relief. Now my condition is getting so much better because I am actually sleeping through all four stages of sleep that your body needs to repair your muscles, ligaments, tendons, not to mention your state of well being from having a great night sleep! I highly recommend this topper to everyone, especially people who suffer from insomnia caused by pain that awakens you when ever you move at night. With this topper, I find that I do not move. This is the best investment which was so cost effective, I could have ever purchased. There's not a sleeping pill in the world that can out do this topper! Thank You Overstock for saving my life. I was at a very low time in my life from suffering such chronic pain day and night. A good nights sleep keeps pain at bay during the day. WOW...what a dream come true. Sincerely, Carolyn
Felt the need the leave a review after sorting through countless contradictory posts about not only these, but all the bedding on here in general. Yes, everybody has different tastes about their sleep preferences, but let me give a neutral review. They are definitely not "like sleeping on burlap." They are very smooth and crisp, although like all other cotton sheets they get a little softer after each wash. They are pretty lightweight, you can see light through them if held up to one. Unless you are sleeping without a blanket though, this shouldn't be a problem and is actually pretty great on those hot summer nights when you kick your heavy comforter off and just have these. I happen to love these sheets because of the crisp feel, but if you're looking for something more akin to a blanket, heavy and velvety soft, then these are not for you. But the cool, crisp and smooth feel makes me never want to get out of bed in the morning! Not to mention I got them in king size for less than $100, which is an amazing price for this great set of sheets.
First, I have to tell you that I am more picky than most people, especially when it comes to stuff that will touch my skin! My husband says I would have made a great Queen! I carefully read reviews looking for just the right comforter for our Master Bedroom. My husband and I had enjoyed the fluffy, soft covers during our stay at the Hampton Inn, and we wanted something very close to their white, soft comforter. I decided on the down alternative comforter, because I was afraid I might have allergies to real down.
I then started to narrow down the comforters that Overstock has to offer. I did not want to pay $400 for a comforter, like one would have to do for Hampton's bedding. We are pretty rough on our comforters, and I needed something more "disposable."
When this comforter came in the mail, I promptly took it straight to my extra-large capacity washer to give it a freshening wash, as I do not like the smell of a new piece of bedding, generally. I wanted to wash it in my detergent and fabric softener so that it would be fresh for the first night of use.
As one person previously reported, I got a small tear in the seam where the comforter rubbed against the agitator, apparently. I decided that this comforter, especially in a king size, is just too big to go in a home washer, and I think it really would be better to take it to a laundry mat or dry cleaner for cleaning. Otherwise, you are going to rub all kinds of tears in it.
I put it through 3 cycles in the dryer. It fluffed fine, but it takes a long time to dry all that filling inside. Now that my comforter was clean and fresh, I was ready to test it for comfort.
My initial feeling was that the material did not really seem as soft (at supposedly 700 thread count) as my 400 thread count sheets did. For particularly sensitive princesses like me, I thought it had just a tad bit of roughness to it, but nothing horrible. After sleeping with it for two nights now, I can say that it is wonderful. It does not make me itch or bother my very sensitive skin in any way. It is incredibly soft!
The weight of this comforter is about moderate. It is not too light or too heavy. We sleep under heavy air conditioning, and it definitely is wonderful to snuggle under it in the cool hours of the morning. It keeps you very warm without being really heavy on your body. I think it will be great in the winter here in Tennessee.
Like other reviewers, I will say that it runs extremely small. I put it on a Queen bed with thick mattresses, and it will not even cover from top to bottom of the mattress. It comes down on the sides just about to where the dust ruffle should start. I think you are going to have to find a thin spread or something to put over it if you want to have a good looking bed ensemble. It definitely does not cover my bed like I would like. I use it more like one would use a blanket. I have a more formal spread to put on when company comes.
So what is my bottom line? Even with all its shortcomings (mostly the size of it), I love it, and so does my husband. It is every bit as comfortable as the Hampton Inn's luxurious bedding. At this price, you can use it and replace it when it gets worn out. I am thinking about getting one for all my kids for their beds for the winter. They are so nice to wrap up in, and if you are worried about soiling the white comforter, I would recommend getting a comfortable duvet cover that can be taken off and washed periodically. For me, I think I will just take mine to the laundry mat when it needs washing and put it in their huge commercial washer. You don't have to do it that often, and it is a minor inconvenience to have this much plush, soft cover night after night. I urge you to go for it! I doubt you would be disappointed.
I originally bought a set of these sheets in Cal King Medium Blue. I loved them so much that I bought two sets of the matching King pillowcases, and another sheet set and two more pillowcase sets in the Sage color. The 1500 TC pillowcase colors match the 1500 TC sheets perfectly, and are as pictured. Both Medium Blue sheets and pillowcases are a saturated medium blue color, although the Sage color is slightly less saturated than the picture on my monitor shows. Both Med Blue and Sage feel and look to be very expensive and high-quality. The sheets are very deep, and easily fit my 14 inch mattress with a mattress pad underneath, with room to spare. But People, PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH before you buy high Thread Count sheets. Don't give low reviews, or waste your money, simply because you were ignorant of what you were ordering. High TC sheets start out being heavy and a little stiff when you first open the package, but they soften up by washing and using them. The higher the TC, the heavier the sheets, so these sheets are heavy. Lower thread count sheets will be initially more pliable and more "airy" feeling, because there are fewer threads per square inch, so they actually are more airy since there is more air between threads. If you like light weight, airy sheets, get low TC or cotton-blend sheets. Initial softness in cotton sheets depend on the quality of the cotton used, and whether they have been pre-softened before you buy them. Having your sheets pre-softened means that they are usually more expensive, because of the extra time and processes involved. These sheets have not been pre-softened, so we are able to buy them cheaper than you would otherwise. Also note that all cotton sheets, especially higher TC sheets, WILL WRINKLE and take more time to dry! If you have multiple sets, which I recommend, fold the other set when it comes out of the dryer, putting your folded pillowcases between the bottom and top sheets so the weight naturally presses them, and put the set away. When you take them out to change sheets, the folded set will have lost most of the wrinkles. By alternating sheet sets, and folding the unused set, you shouldn't have to iron your sheets. If you are still unsatisfied with your minor wrinkles, or if you only have one set, you can iron your sheets if it really bugs you. These particular sheets are beautiful and have held up well after washing. They are exactly what you would expect from 1500 TC sheets, will last forever, and are far less expensive on the big O than elsewhere.
I bought these towels for the master bathroom. I had nice towels in the guest bathroom but old ones in our master bath. These towels are very thick and plush. It is easy to dry off with them. The only thing of note is that when put in the dryer the first time, they produced LOTS of lint. I cleaned the dryer vent several times before the load was finished drying. I would recommend these towels to others.
Finally, a extra deep pocket sheet that actually fits my thick mattress with a featherbed on top and still had lots of room. The quality of these sheets is excellent. These are a heavy, soft sheet, very large so have lots of room. They do recommend washing in cold water but with the size of these sheets I don't see how they could shrink so much in hot water that you couldn't use them. They have a thick elastic band around them and are made to actually fit the corners. I plan to order another set. I see where these sheets are well over *** & I can see why. The feel is amazing. They are a thick, soft, luxurious sheet, heavier than most so might take some people time to get used to that. But these sheets will last for years where other, cheaper sheets wear out. Also high thread count sheets get softer with age.
I bought this burgundy duvet cover, a 630 thread count Egyptian cotton sheet, and another 600 thread count Egyptian cotton sheet from overstock. Of the three, this one feels like its in a whole new class of smoothness. This duvet cover is smoother than any sheet/duvet cover I have ever felt, there are no stripes on it, the brand is Luxor, the color looks like the burgundy in the pic, and the shams have a crease where the pillow inserts in middle of the sheet on one side. Alot of people here are complaining of the shams, I don't see anything wrong with them. As for the actual duvet cover... Wow!!! It feels like a luxurious satin sheet, but has the crispness and coolness of a high quality cotton. So good infact I went to a department store to feel other 600 count sheets to confirm the legitmacy of my other purchases. Nothing in the store, except the the fancy 200 dollar 1000 thread counts felt quite as nice as these. This is a must buy, I have no idea where these other reviewers are getting their information or what sheet they received. All I know is I purchased 3 sheets/duvet covers at one time from overstock and this one could run smoothness circles around the other two.
I purchased these sheets to fit a special made California King bed with temperpedic mattress topper. Before laundering, the sheets were loose fitting, but after being washed, the fit was one of the best ever. The fabric is very thick and appears to be quite durable. With every laundering, these sheets feel softer and softer, and this is a comfortable, cotton feel not the slick satteen feel of many sheets sold today. Although the price of these sheets was a tad bit more than I generally like to pay, I ordered another set because of the durability and softness factor. These are probably the best sheets I've purchased in many, many years.
Have contunued to purchase all our linen from Overstock.com due to the excellent quality of all Egyption Cotton Sets of thread count over 1000. I needed larger pillow cases to match my prior purchase of sheets from Overstock.com and was pleased to find this set of oversize pillow cases to fit our large pillows. Once you buy and use any of these 1000 to 1200 thread count egyptian cotton linen you will never settle for anything less. The price is right and comfort for my bed where we all spend 25% to 33% of our day is worth spending a little extra to me. Overstock.com makes the savings and value make me feel great the other 75 plus percent of my day.
These towels are exactly what you find in luxury five star hotels. They are thick and soft, and the large size makes them almost like a wrap when getting out of shower or bath. The deluxe thickness quickly draws moisture away from the body leaving the surface of the towel almost dry. They launder beautifullly. I have washed mine twice and they grow softer and more pliant each time. The color is vibrant and true and has remained so with laundering. Great addition to a guest bathroom, or for that little touch of luxury for yourself. You won't be disappointed!
I finally have comfort and can sleep without my sheets ripping off my mattress. These sheets are truly comfortable, soft, deep pockets, and rich in color (purchased black). The sheets are exactly what I was hoping for considering I also purchased a mattress topper (also very comfy). Thanks Overstock, I am sleeping on cloud nine and will order another sheet set once the blue becomes available.
For years I have purchased pricey "luxury" sheets from a linen warehouse store, but they can't compare to these. Soft as can be, and these really don't wrinkle much. Best of all, they truly DO fit an extra-deep mattress that is topped with a 3-inch memory foam--no more struggling with that fitted sheet! Not only are these better than what I had been using--they're also cheaper! An excellent value.
I bought the king size comforter and love it. The construction is great quality with good stitching all around. The piping is done just right and give it a perfect look if you were to use it w/o a duvet. The fabric is soft and smooth like 700 tc should be, and the baffle design keeps the down evenly distributed. The size is just right; it hangs over the sides about 8 inches and the foot about 6 inches. I bought a duvet to keep the comforter crisp white and protected as I have an indoor/outdoor cat who sleeps inside and brings in a yard full of dirt at the end of the day and it fit perfectly. I actually bought the duvet 2 inches narrower than the comforter and it fills it out perfectly with no excess fabric on any edge. Perfect! The weight is perfect as well. You don't feel as though it's so heavy you can't move, but you don't feel like you're laying under some inferior light-weight summer throw either. A great purchase.
I have to admit, I was skeptical when I ordered this comforter. I went to ***** and looked at several heavyweight down comforters but they were all priced at $350 and above, so naturally I wondered why this heavy weight comforter would be such a steal (even though I love, LOVE Overstock.com). I read a couple of the bad reviews and thought that those instances were probably pure accidental bad quality items and it wasn't worth stressing over, so I ordered one and crossed my fingers. When it came in the mail, I immediately put it on my bed and saw that it was very light feeling, thus perhaps it's not as warm as it claims to be? So that night I put on my long sleeved sleeping shirt and got ready to get up in the middle of the night for more blankets. I should tell you I'm a 2 comforter type of girl. I get cold really easily always have 2 comforters except when it's 90 outside. I live in Seattle, where in the winters it gets to be about 30's most of the time, so not freezing, but it's no Florida.
Much to my surprise, I was actually hot the next morning! This comforter is so warm and cozy. It's like it heats up around you~! It's lightweight quality allows you to sleep comfortably so you don't feel like you're being buried in cotton. Pair this with a comfy duvet cover and you're all set for the Winter! I love, love, love it and think that this is a MUST HAVE for every bedroom!
My mom had one of these type pillows for over 20 years. I have been looking for this pillow and FOUND IT!!! It will NEVER go flat and will be as comfortable as any pillow you have ever used. It has a springy type feel. Your head sinks in but it is also firm enough to give you good neck support. The pillow has a removable, washable cover also. You will not be dissapointed. I bought two, two years ago and they are like brand new, and I use them every night. It is almost comparable to memory foam without being "hard " like. A must have for anyone any age!!!
We purchased 2" memory foam to go on our king-sized bed. We already bought new pillow-top mattresses but they were still lacking. We were tossing and turning all night. Purchased the memory foam and WOW does it make a difference. It shipped lightening fast. The smell dissipated quickly and it took it's correct form within 2 hours. We slept on it the day it came. Would highly recommend especially if your back hurts! Great price and great quality.
Bought these sheets in sage and think they are great. The color is what I expected. The material quality exceeded my expectations. I have the 8" Serta memory foam mattress that I bought from this site. I also have a 2" memory foam topper that I put on it. WIth the mattress and topper combined the sheets fit very well. They fit the corners very nice and they don't feel like they are about to rip as some others have. Fitted sheet fits the matress surface and corners tightly. Flat sheet is long enough to tuck deep under the footboard end of the mattress and still pull all of the way up to the top edge near the headboard. After 1st wash they were still a little too rough. After 2nd washing they had just a hint of newness / roughness. After 3rd wash they were comfortable. After 4th wash they are perfect. Definitely some of the most comfortable sheets I have slept on anywhere....ever! I don't think I would consider sheets with a lower thread count than these, especially for the insignificant difference in price compared to the several years of use that I will get out of them. Have no fear of these sheets after a few washes. Anyone that would complain about the comfortability of these sheets after washing out the newness probably has a life-long predisposition towards complaining about everything in life... those people annoy me.
These towels are perfect for the person that doesn't want to use a 6 inch thick bath mat to dry off with. They are not too thick, not too thin. Very luxurious without being so thick that you can't wash more than 4 towels at a time in the laundry or use them to wrap up your hair. When washing for the first time, a TREMENDOUS amount of lint does come out of them in the dryer. I had to stop the dry time midway to clean out the lint trap. I was worried there wouldn't be any towel left! But alas, there were still soft just right towels when the cycle was finished.
This is an excellent mattress pad @ an excellent price. The cover is 100% cotton, great for sensitive skin. The cover is very thick & helped give a bit of life to our 9 year old mattress. Since it's cotton, it doesn't make any noise & does not itch through the sheets... as my skin cannot tolerate polyester thread.
Once we got a new pillow top that also has memory foam, & found that this mattress pad had so much loft, that we sunk into our mattress too much, so we switched to a thinner mattress pad with less loft... and are keeping this one for when our pillow top mattress gets old. ;-)
We have a 15" mattress & this pad fit over it no problem. If you have a non-pillow top mattress or an older mattress, this mattress pad is excellent. The elastic sides stretch & cling to the underside of the mattress, so the pad does NOT move at all.
Easy to change sheets w/o having to worry about pulling off the mattress pad.
I bought these sheets hoping for durable, soft-not satin soft, but not crisp. These are perfect after about 6 washings. They are very heavy sheets. I usually sleep with just them and a light blanket and it is perfect. I don't feel like they are going to tear when I put the fitted sheet on the corner-durable. I bought the sage and the color is true. If you give them a try, I don't think you will be disappointed.
Love these sheets! Lyocell sheets are hard to find and when you do, they are usually over $XXX for a set. I always get white sheets so can't say anything about the colors offered. These sheets are soft, silky, and will last a long time if taken care of properly. They wrinkle a bit but not too bad. The softness is the best and anyone who stays in my house always comments on the sheets! Worth the money!
The reviews I read on several dozen other products did not compare to the positive reviews on this one and I was not let down.
I love the feel of real down comforters, but I have dogs who sleep in the bed so the convenience of machine washing was necessary (in case of accidents). This product arrived a little squished, but with fluffing it was great and it feels the closest to real down as any alternative I have encountered before. I honestly wouldn't be able to tell the difference if I weren't told! It has held up, too, after a couple of washes, which I was pleased with! A warning, though, is the king size (what I purchased) barely fits in my regular sized washer.
I agree with previous reviewers that getting the size larger than needed is a good idea. I have a queen bed, bought a king and it hangs over the edge quite a bit, but I believe the queen would have been too small.
I LOVE this duvet cover. I am a fan of upscale hotels, and this cover makes me feel like Im sleeping in a *** every night! It is seriously chic and stylish, soft and high quality. I have other *** covers that cost the same as this and they are only 300 threadcount, and for the same price you can get this 1000 threadcount set. I LOVE IT. The only complaint is that it doesnt have internal ties to keep the duvet in place, so I just sewed some shoelaces in each inside corner and it works like a charm! I am IN LOVE WITH MY BED. YOU MUST BUY THIS!!
These bathmats are the thickest plushest I have ever purchased. You will not be disappointed if you buy these. One word of caution: They have "quality" tags on them and you can't just pull them off because they are attached to the threads. If you just pull on them, you may start a "run" in them. Take a second to go get a pair of scissors and cut the tag off.
This is our second one - we bought a too hard mattress for home and this saved it - then we had to move temporarily for my husband's job and moved into a very nice furnished apartment - but we were there 4 months when I went home for a visit (slept in our bed @home) and realized just how awful the bed at our temp apt was - bought another one of these and I am sleeping great!! You could put this thing on the floor and sleep great! Didn't smell - unrolled it at 3m and put it on bed at 6pm - slept on it that night. Can't say enough - you won't regret this buy! Even my husband who like firm - loves this - I like soft and it is great for us both.
We first bought a set of these sheets when Overstock had them a couple years ago. After a few months of wash and wear, they became THE softest, silkiest, most decadent sheets in our arsenal of 800 tc sheets (we have several different brands). If creme brulee came in sheet form, these sheets would be it. When we saw them again on the Overstock site, of course we immediately snatched up another set. While the new sheets haven't reached the buttery softness of the first set yet, they're already softer than any of our other sheets.
The first set we bought was in the "bone" color, which we thought would be ivory but is closer to a light gold. The second set we bought was in "white," which is a good white that maybe hints a little more to the off-white side than to the blue-white side. Both sets have a nice, subtle sheen.
One thing to note: these sheets have a "good side" (unbelievably soft and luxurious, as described above) and a "bad side" (more like canvas), that each became more pronounced as the sheets were broken in. I'm guessing this was something necessary in the weave to put all of the soft part of the fiber on one side. If you get these sheets and find them rough, try turning them over!
Weighty and soft. Very generous pockets, fits pillow top + memory foam pad with ease. I was surprised to notice the difference in a good night's sleep.
I was very pleased to purchase a product made in the USA. I wish you would list where every item is made; That's paramount in deciding which product I want to buy. I want to help Americans keep their jobs.
I actually searched these sheets out because they came up with a "Made in America" search. Well, when they arrived the packaging no where said "Made in America", but after searching the product carefully, there it was. They were "MADE IN AMERICA" and they ROCK! I love them and they continue to get better and better with each and every wash. I loved them so much that as soon as I had them on my bed for a brief period of time, I ordered another pair. Highly recommended!!!!
Made by Home Environments, these sheets are the best bed linens I've ever owned. I now have four sets and two sets have held up extremely well after two years of regular use. The other two are newer but I expect the same. The softness is incomparable, they're durable and haven't frayed at all, they haven't shrunk after two years of washing and drying, and there is no pilling. Deep pockets fit 18" high mattress perfectly. Highly recommend this brand. I did purcahse another less expensive brand on O.com and they were horrible. Kind-size shrunk after first wash and could not be used so they went into the rag bag. This brand is definitely worth the extra money.
This duvet cover is great. It is very thick, and very heavy... which should be expected for 1200 thread count. After a couple of washes, the duvet is very soft, and luxurious. My favorite feature of the duvet cover is the fact that there is no seam at the top of the cover. There is an openeing on the bottom (which closes with buttons) and two seams up the side, but none at the top. Which means, this is one piece of fabric. Not "top and bottom" pieces that are sewed together around the edges. Love it.
Wonderful mattress pad that fits my oversize mattress with room to spare. It's so soft and comfortable thanks to the pima cotton that I love. I paid much more for a similar cover for another bed. This is a great value.
A nice light- to mid-weight waffle cloth. The cut is good: fairly long sleeves, nice high collar, plenty of wrap for a normal build (a little more than I need, actually). I'm just under six feet tall, lean (about 150 lbs) with long arms and legs, and the S-M size works well for me, coming to just above mid-calf (proviso: I haven't washed the robe yet; I will do so in cold water, since if it shrinks in length, or especially in sleeve length, it will be too short).
The topstitching / felling along the collar and other exposed seems uses quite a loose stitch, with nearly a quarter of an inch between running stitches. This may be just right for sewing the waffle-weave cotton, but beware of snags. My late wife had a kimono-style robe of similar waffle cloth, with a twill band edging the front and neck, which used much finer topstitching and made a cleaner and sturdier finish. I do prefer the shawl collar style for myself, though. The inside piecing seams and the binding on the cut edges, which are exposed, is done with an interlock/overcasting machine, leaving a raw finish (like the side seams of a polo shirt). I would have rated the garment more highly had the finishing been better (for example, felled or bound edges along the visible inside seams) but that would have driven the price up substantially. As it is the robe is excellent value at the Overstock price.
Bought this blanket for my Husband's recliner. I didn't think he would use it, just set it aside when in his chair. I cover the chair when he isn't in it, now even if he is in it. He loves it. It does NOT shed like the mink one (which only sheds alittle). the coloring is animal-istic. Great buy! would be excellent gifts even for the men in your life!!!
These pillows are not great, but good. What would make them perfect is if they had a little more "depth" to them. If you like to scrunch your pillow up underneath you these are great. BUT, if you just want to lay on the pillow in it's original shape, your head will sink to the bottom.
I purchased these washcloths because I had a several house guest visiting. Everyone commented on how soft they were and that they were the perfect thickness, not too thin and not so thick and bulky you couldn't hold them. I loved them so much, I purchased the Hotel & Spa Bath Towels and Bath Sheets as well. I would certainly recommend all three items!
I bought the peach towels and wash cloths. They are wonderful beyond expectations. I waited until they were washed & used as the quality was so good. I had bought very expensive wash cloths from a well known department store and they puckered and I gave them away so I wanted to make sure these were as great as I believed them to be. They are!
The material and color(gold) are wonderful. It has a great sheen to it and feels real quality. I have other 1500TC Egyptian cotton which is softer but not as heavy/thick as this material. It also seems to get softer with washing. I've found washing this high TC Egyptian cotton not a problem and simply hang it to dry without ironing. Ironing will probably make it more uniform/smooth, but be careful not to burn it !
The size of king size is very generous - I managed to comfortably (no pun intended!) fit a super king size duvet inside this cover - it's that big ! I used Canadian goose down as I don't like to compromise!
Some might think this material feels too hard and stiff (like canvas) but it's warmth and quality are what I want. It's also real heavy material - you'll feel it's weight from when you first receive it, to when you're under it in bed. It makes me think of parachute material?, it's that strong/solid. This material breathes and insulates really well. You won't be cold in bed again with this material. I've bought all my Egyptian cotton from the USA ( I live in the UK) - which shows how good it is, and this Egyptian cotton is the heaviest I've come across.
This material makes you feel like a King/Queen in bed. Life's too short to miss out on this quality. It's a fraction of the price of similar bedding at Harrods (London), probably better quality and there's more color choices. Quality without paying for an exclusive brand name.
I was skeptical as to how well it would work and how the coils would feel on my feet. I usually like the bed super warm when i get into it so my feet are immediately lathered in the heat. I set the preheat about 45 minutes before going to bed. That way I have another 15 minutes of the continued high heat to really warm my feet. Then it automatically goes to the maintenance heat number which I keep pretty low and I never have to touch it again. I hardly feel the coils in the blanket and now, after a few weeks in the bed, I really don't feel it at all. I had tried one of the blankets where when touching the blanket on the outside the blanket did not feel warm. This is so much better as you can get the feeling of not having very much heat at the low levels but can also reach much warmer levels if you choose to. I cannot wait to get into bed each night.
These bath rugs are so thick, so soft and luxurious, you'll feel like you're in a spa, and a very pricey one at that. Be prepared for the weight and heftiness of these rugs; no sliding around with these. I love them. They have been washed and come up fluffy and beautiful; I couldn't be happier. And with the great Overstock price this sort of luxury is absolutely affordable. They are a must buy.
We love this comforter!!! I have never purchased a down comforter before. We really did our homework and poured over the internet for hours and even weeks before we made our purchase. I highly depended on the reviews from other customers on Overstock to make up my mind. Not only was this a fabulous price for a higher thread count, higher fill and baffle box design...It is a far better bargain than any of the department stores can come close too. Most of the down comforters that I have found in other stores were literally half the thread count and fill level-and more than double or triple the price. It looks beautiful on our king sized bed and is SO warm. We live in Massachusetts and even for us, it does the job. I actually think that it may be too warm to use year round, but that is fine with me. It really feels like you are sleeping in a cloud. The first night that we used it, my husband overslept his alarm by 45 minutes! He NEVER does that. My kids all love snuggling into the covers in the morning too. The only issue I have was that it doesn't completely fill our duvet cover, but that may be the actual cover's fault! It hangs over generously on our bed, so I wouldn't doubt that it is oversized. I have not found any issues with the fill being unevenly distributed. Our comforter is distributed nicely. All in all, we are so happy that we made this purchase. I now think that everyone needs a down comforter!
IF THIS POST IS TOO LONG, SIMPLY READ THIS FIRST PORTION:IMPORTANT INFORMATION:A mattress of 3? thickness with 3lb density is wonderful for light-average individuals and will provide the comfort/support needed (approx 100-150lbs).A mattress of 3? thickness with 4lb density is ideal for light ? above average individuals, 100-200lbs.A mattress of 4? thickness with 3lb density is ONLY suitable for light individuals, or those who require a very soft mattress. If you are over 150lbs you will begin to lose needed support. If you are over 200lbs this will not provide you with the support you require and may not be appropriate for you.A mattress of 4? thickness with 4lb density is suitable for average ? husky individuals, 150-250 lbs. The extra inch (over 3?) will give you the extra needed cushion so that you don?t sink straight through the mattress and the 4lb density will provide you with the much needed support. </BR> ------------------------------------------------------ I spent a great deal of time doing research on memory foam toppers before deciding to make a purchase. I'm a very meticulous person and I like to evaluate all of my options before selecting an item, specially one over a certain price, and if I would consider it a luxury item.First off, I want to say that I have nothing but praise for this memory foam, and I will attempt to aid any person reading this in deciding whether or not this is the correct item for them. When looking at memory toppers, if you are looking for both comfort AND support, then you should automatically eliminate anything with a depth of 2.5" or lower and 5.5" and higher. (Do not choose 2.5 < or > 5.5).A thin mattress topper of below 2.5" may provide you with a comfortable feeling, but it will not provide you with the actual support you need, if you are only looking for comfort, and not physical benefit/support, then below 2.5" is for you. One caveat to this is if this mattress topper is intended for a child or very light individual, they will depress the visco-elastic material less then a (older) teenager or full grown adult, in that circumstance a mattress topper of 2.5" will be supportive/beneficial.A thick mattress topper at/over 5.5" will be quite deep and you will find that you sink into the mattress (unless you are a child or an extremely light person, below or at 100 pounds, at which point your body will not sink, but you still will not receive the appropriate support for your body). For an average weight adult, you will not find the comfort you want as your movements will be restricted and support will now become uneven as the heavier parts of your body will sink too low and you will be unable to achieve the spinal/body support that is required for a healthy nights rest.------------------------------------------------------The optimal range for thickness of a memory foam mattress is 3? - 4". This range will accommodate the standard adult build (greater then 100lbs and less then 250lbs or approximately 45kg ? 115kg, these figures are products of my own analysis and consumer reports).-If you are a light-average build, 100 ? 200 pounds, you will likely find the comfort/support you require from a 3? thick topper.-If you are average-husky, 150-250 pounds, then you should review a 4? topper to accommodate for ?sinking? into the topper. There is an overlap of 50 pounds in the weight range(s), this is on purpose as you must consider that this topper may not be used by only you, but a significant other as well.*I personally weigh 175lbs, whereas my fiancée rings in between 100-108lbs (please don?t tell her I posted her weight, hahaha). We found that the 3? topper provided excellent support/comfort for our weight ranges and have had nothing but approving responses from friends/families over the comfort of our mattress.---------------------------------------------------------Density is the second factor you must consider.3lb and 4lb is optimal density for the average consumer, someone weighting 100 ? 250 lbs and the density you require will differ based on size, obviously, the more you weigh the greater the density you will need.Avoid exceeding 5lb density as you will begin to sacrifice comfort in the memory foam topper. 5lb density is suitable for husky ? ?large? build individuals 250+ lbs, you would also look at a thicker mattress 4-5? in that weight range.---------------------------------------------------------Brand names: They actually matter for this product! Non-brand name foam mattresses have an indeterminable length of usability for their product. After reviewing an incredible amount of products from different suppliers I have found some of these products are meant to only last 1 ? 2 years, while others can last 5, 10, or 15 years. More often then not, the name brand products last longer. Overstock.com is fortunate that it has a large selection of quality toppers.----------------------------------------------------------Heat Distribution: As this mattress is not a ?vented? mattress it will trap heat a little more then an ordinary mattress topper. I have been using this on warm nights and have not found any discomfort from this small amount of added heat, in fact, as the mattress is able to retain my heat, it softens up a little more the longer I am resting on it, making my rest more on more comfortable as I lay there.----------------------------------------------------------If your partner happens to be a wrestles individual or someone who practically jumps into bed at night, then this mattress topper will help reduce the vibrations you feel and will allow you to sleep better without being disturbed. I speak as a perpetrator of literally ?jumping? into bed every night.-----------------------------------------------------------Washing/Cleaning:Good luck. Don?t get it dirty in the first place! Use a damp rag to wipe off any spills that may get into it. Never lay it directly on your floor (especially carpet), it will grab EVERY piece of dirt/filth there is and you will NEVER get it out.?oops------------------------------------------------------------------Personal Opinion:Overall I couldn?t be happier with my purchase. I haven?t slept this well in years! I have been having a very bad problem with being unable to wake up in the morning for the past few years. I have 3 alarm clocks (yes, 3 individual alarm clocks, 2 of them with 2 separate alarms, so 5 alarms), my cell phone with 3 alarms, and my computer with a morning alarm. In total, 9 alarms go off in the morning, and I have a tendancy of sleeping through ALL of them, even when they are at full blast. I had not been getting a real rest when I slept! To make matters worse, my partner moves around a lot, as such, I haven?t been getting a really good deep sleep in years, with minimal REM cycles?(dreams)?I have been exhausted constantly. All of that changed when I slept on this topper. For the first time in 4 years I am having vivid dreams that I remember when I wake up, this is an indication of a deep sleep, which your body/brain needs to recharge! Additionally, I wake up immediately at the sound of just one alarm at half volume! As I?m no longer thoroughly exhausted I can actually get up in mornings and have been making it on time to all of my appointments, and scheduled events! I can?t believe how much the memory foam changed my life!Do yourself a favor and BUY IT!------------------------------------------------------------------------*1 last note, when the package arrives, OPEN IT IMMEDIATELY and let it decompress/air out. Ours took only 1 hour to fully decompress as it was only in shipping for a few days. The majority of the smell left after a few hours and wasn?t bad to begin with. The odor completely left after 2 days, but was mild enough that we slept on it with no complaint the very first night we received it.
We're very happy with this mattress! After quite a bit of research on the big brands we found all the features in this mattress at a much more reasonable price. After all, foam is made up of polyols, isocyanites and surfactants. Chemically there's little difference between this foam and that of the big names. It's all marketing hype. Just watch for the densities of the layers and make sure you select the density that best matches your mattress preferences - higher density = firmer mattress. And the most important point I want to make is that we get a better night's sleep and wake up without backpain. Our conventional mattress was less than a year old and cost nearly twice as much. We hated it. Obviously we're very happy to have replaced it with this mattress. The difference is that big. Thanks Overstock for offering memory foam mattresses at a fair price without all the marketing-induced mark-ups.
Prior to this purchase, I had purchased an OVERSTOCK bulk pack of two 10" Queen sized mattresses for the guest rooms in our new weekend home. We also needed a bed for ourselves so we decided to try these before we purchased a King sized. We liked it! The MEMORY FOAM is very different from what we are used to (a number bed) - much harder but, still very comfortable. And it was not at all hot - a real concern for this 50+ woman. LOL. After the first weekend, we were hooked. I came back to OVERSTOCK to search for the King and found this SELECT-A-FIRMNESS. I ordered the MEDIUM and I have to say that it is worth the extra money - (about $70.00 if you are an Club O member.) There IS A NOTICEABLE difference in the firmness and both of us are glad I paid for the option.
It was packed "tootsie roll style" - like the queens but, in a plastic sock instead of the canvas. It plumped up quickly- we slept on it the first night and, we didn't notice any smell at all, (and I know the smell others write about because I've ordered memory foam pads - they smelled for weeks - and were hot.)
I recommend HIGHLY this mattress. (And my friend who purchased the name brand thinks that this one is just as comfortable as hers.) If you are at all concerned about the firmness, try the SOFT but, keep in mind that the closer the mattress molds to your body - the warmer the mattress will feel. Thank you OVERSTOCK. This mattress is a great value!
i bought these along with a 500 tc sheet set to make a comparison & there is definetly a difference. these are much thicker .. i like these for my extre pillows on my bed and feel like they are well made, they don't start out as soft as the 500 tc cotton, but again appear to be durableand are getting softer with each washing. i am happy with this item
This is a high quality product - it feels good, fits well on the mattress, and stays put. Solid construction, double seams, and the sides are deep enough to completely envelope my pillow-topped mattress - there are at least two inches tucked underneath the mattress all the way around so it doesn't slip at all.
These were sent to my inbox as a recommendation. As it turned out, I recently purchased a flannel set from this same brand through Overstock, which is likely why the recommendation came. Typically, similar emails are gets deleted; however, finding a good set of sheets for a bed as deep as mine is hard to do. I'm glad that email was read because purchasing these turned me into a future buyer of this brand. The fitted sheet actually covers the entire mattress and stays. I love the elastic and size. On the flat sheet, one of the dots was missing but who really cares. These are great. The first thing noticed when I pulled them out was how soft they were. Sleeping on them was no different after putting them through the wash. I did read a review before the purchase, which I agree with now. The sides are not long enough to tuck in which is not preferred. I think a few extra inches of fabric on the sides to accommodate that need would be highly recommended, without changing the price. Sheets should tuck in on the side but these just reach where you'd ordinarily tuck them in. Nonetheless, I like them a lot and the flannel set purchased feel like pillows. Both are nice, but these are soft and also smooth so between the two I prefer this set.
Very nice sheets- pure luxury. I ordered these and the 1500 count- for the extra 50 bucks I would go with the 1500 count, but for xxxx bucks these are fantastic. I have no idea what people are talking about with the complaint of sheets to heavy, I love them ! And who in their right mind would iron sheets??
This is an amazing down comforter and by far the nicest one that I have owned or ever seen. When I unpacked it there wasn't any bad smell and within a day or so it fluffed up so much but is fairly light in weight. I would recommend this if you sleep in a faily cool or cold enviornment because it gets VERY warm and retains body heat very well especially if you are sharing the bed...You might get pretty warm. I think this will be great in the winter time, but right now in the summer I have to keep my AC at 65 degrees so I dont roast in my sleep. The fabric is VERY nice and has a very silky and soft feel that my girlfriend and I love! Like other reviews said its appearance by itself is so nice that you dont have to put a Duvet cover on it, though I did so it doesnt get dirty. As much as I hate winter I am looking forward to sleeping with this comforter. AMAZING and great price!
I have never been disappointed w/Croscill. This pattress pad is on my bed on top of a 4" thick mattress topper and it still fits the mattress just fine. It held up just fine through the wash and I don't have to worry about pulling it tightly at the corners, no ripping has happened. I would recommend it and it was a good price.
I have bought this pad followed by a less expensive one by Beautyrest. No comparison. I have since returned to paying more for this one and being happy with the purchase. You do get what you pay for. This is of far better construction and quality. I don't think any mattress pad can change the comfort of a bed but this does an excellent job in protecting the mattress and fit it well.
I looked long and hard for an affordable mattress that was firm and hopefully durable. Buying a mattress online is scary when all you have are descriptions and reviews from folks you don't know. My last Sealy Posturpedic cratered (literally) after about 7 years as did its predecessor. Im not a very big guy at 140 lbs, but I tend to sleep in only a couple of positions all night. I like a firm mattress, but reviews indicated this mattress to be too firm for some. So I bought a 2 memory foam topper to give it that extra cushiness while, hopefully, avoiding the feeling of sinking into quicksand. It worked out swell, but for another 75 bucks I may try the laxtex topper next time. Anyway, since a spinal cord injury 32 years ago, I must be careful of pressure points, but must be able to turn over easily when dressing in bed. Therefore, the right balance between softness and firmness is extremely important. Also transferring to a wheelchair requires reasonably firm edge support. This mattress and topper fit all my needs and, for about three months now, have given me the best sleep Ive had in years. Im hoping it holds up at least as long as the spring mattresses Ive owned. If so, I suppose you can't ask for much more at this price point. Oh and, I have not notice any toxic fumes and, as usual, Overstock did a great job by delivering it in one week.
I purchased this mattress topper after sleeping on something similar that topped an air mattress while staying with family. My mattress at home is in need of replacement, but there are so many choices...so this was an inexpensive way to see if the memory foam would be a good option once I decide to buy new. I really like this topper, it is very comfortable and it is not too thick, so my sheets fit over it and my mattress with no problem. I don't know that it would be as comfortable without another mattress of some kind underneath it. I bought this based on reviews, and most specifically for the cover. The cover is not a full cover, but more like a mattress pad-type cover. It has an elastic border, and if you are attempting to move the topper around, the cover will shift and will not stay on. If it were a zippered cover it would be an exceptional buy. The only benefit I see to this cover is that it adds just a bit more padding and a bit more protection from damage to the topper itself during use. On the whole, I am very happy with this product, and am seriously considering buying another for my aging futon mattress which is not as comfortable as it used to be and is used by guests. I am hesitant to buy a thicker topper in the event my sheets will not fit over it, but the 2" model is a very good option and well worth the price.
This is a very plain and non-fussy duvet cover, which is what I was looking for. I bought the King size for my Queen bed so that it would hang over the sides comfortably. The material is soft but was surprised it wasn't thicker. I am using 1000 thread count sheet sets to go with it and the sheet set material feels thicker and more substantial. The pillow covers are enormous and I have a hard time finding the appropriate pillows to fill it out. I have washed the duvet cover several times now and it has held up well - no discernible shrinkage or unravelling of threads, etc. But it does wrinkles easily even though I pull it out of the dryer immediately after it is done. I don't have the same problem with my sheets of a similar thread count. I am giving it a 4 stars since the material is thinner than expected and that it wrinkles so easily. Overall a good buy.
Great quality. The outside is a tightly woven cloth and the inside is lined with vinyl. The zipper has a cloth backing, so nothing is getting in. I have a mattress pad over the liner so it doesn't feel like sleeping on a plastic tarp. We can't tell that the liner is on the mattress.
