Felt the need the leave a review after sorting through countless contradictory posts about not only these, but all the bedding on here in general. Yes, everybody has different tastes about their sleep preferences, but let me give a neutral review. They are definitely not "like sleeping on burlap." They are very smooth and crisp, although like all other cotton sheets they get a little softer after each wash. They are pretty lightweight, you can see light through them if held up to one. Unless you are sleeping without a blanket though, this shouldn't be a problem and is actually pretty great on those hot summer nights when you kick your heavy comforter off and just have these. I happen to love these sheets because of the crisp feel, but if you're looking for something more akin to a blanket, heavy and velvety soft, then these are not for you. But the cool, crisp and smooth feel makes me never want to get out of bed in the morning! Not to mention I got them in king size for less than $100, which is an amazing price for this great set of sheets.
I originally bought a set of these sheets in Cal King Medium Blue. I loved them so much that I bought two sets of the matching King pillowcases, and another sheet set and two more pillowcase sets in the Sage color. The 1500 TC pillowcase colors match the 1500 TC sheets perfectly, and are as pictured. Both Medium Blue sheets and pillowcases are a saturated medium blue color, although the Sage color is slightly less saturated than the picture on my monitor shows. Both Med Blue and Sage feel and look to be very expensive and high-quality. The sheets are very deep, and easily fit my 14 inch mattress with a mattress pad underneath, with room to spare. But People, PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH before you buy high Thread Count sheets. Don't give low reviews, or waste your money, simply because you were ignorant of what you were ordering. High TC sheets start out being heavy and a little stiff when you first open the package, but they soften up by washing and using them. The higher the TC, the heavier the sheets, so these sheets are heavy. Lower thread count sheets will be initially more pliable and more "airy" feeling, because there are fewer threads per square inch, so they actually are more airy since there is more air between threads. If you like light weight, airy sheets, get low TC or cotton-blend sheets. Initial softness in cotton sheets depend on the quality of the cotton used, and whether they have been pre-softened before you buy them. Having your sheets pre-softened means that they are usually more expensive, because of the extra time and processes involved. These sheets have not been pre-softened, so we are able to buy them cheaper than you would otherwise. Also note that all cotton sheets, especially higher TC sheets, WILL WRINKLE and take more time to dry! If you have multiple sets, which I recommend, fold the other set when it comes out of the dryer, putting your folded pillowcases between the bottom and top sheets so the weight naturally presses them, and put the set away. When you take them out to change sheets, the folded set will have lost most of the wrinkles. By alternating sheet sets, and folding the unused set, you shouldn't have to iron your sheets. If you are still unsatisfied with your minor wrinkles, or if you only have one set, you can iron your sheets if it really bugs you. These particular sheets are beautiful and have held up well after washing. They are exactly what you would expect from 1500 TC sheets, will last forever, and are far less expensive on the big O than elsewhere.
So far, very pleased with purchase. It could be a tad softer, but I'm hoping after more washes, it'll be a little softer. I ordered the taupe color in a size medium. I'm 5'4 and approximately 120 lbs. It fits well - with room. I could have gotten a small, but I definitely didn't want it to be tight - I like a looser fit with bathrobes. Nice roomy pockets in the front and the tie is a great length. There's also the essential hook so it can hang easily on the back of the bathroom door, if desired. I would highly recommend it. Great value and a bathroom staple in my opinion!
I bought this burgundy duvet cover, a 630 thread count Egyptian cotton sheet, and another 600 thread count Egyptian cotton sheet from overstock. Of the three, this one feels like its in a whole new class of smoothness. This duvet cover is smoother than any sheet/duvet cover I have ever felt, there are no stripes on it, the brand is Luxor, the color looks like the burgundy in the pic, and the shams have a crease where the pillow inserts in middle of the sheet on one side. Alot of people here are complaining of the shams, I don't see anything wrong with them. As for the actual duvet cover... Wow!!! It feels like a luxurious satin sheet, but has the crispness and coolness of a high quality cotton. So good infact I went to a department store to feel other 600 count sheets to confirm the legitmacy of my other purchases. Nothing in the store, except the the fancy 200 dollar 1000 thread counts felt quite as nice as these. This is a must buy, I have no idea where these other reviewers are getting their information or what sheet they received. All I know is I purchased 3 sheets/duvet covers at one time from overstock and this one could run smoothness circles around the other two.
These towels are exactly what you find in luxury five star hotels. They are thick and soft, and the large size makes them almost like a wrap when getting out of shower or bath. The deluxe thickness quickly draws moisture away from the body leaving the surface of the towel almost dry. They launder beautifullly. I have washed mine twice and they grow softer and more pliant each time. The color is vibrant and true and has remained so with laundering. Great addition to a guest bathroom, or for that little touch of luxury for yourself. You won't be disappointed!
For years I have purchased pricey "luxury" sheets from a linen warehouse store, but they can't compare to these. Soft as can be, and these really don't wrinkle much. Best of all, they truly DO fit an extra-deep mattress that is topped with a 3-inch memory foam--no more struggling with that fitted sheet! Not only are these better than what I had been using--they're also cheaper! An excellent value.
Bought two of these pillowcase sets in the King size and Medium Blue color, and two sets in the King size and Sage color. The colors match the 1500 TC sheets perfectly, and are as pictured. We are very happy with these towels. We purchased them in white and so far they have washed well. The care tag is a little large compare to our other towels, but it hasn't bothered us in day-to-day use. They are much more absorbent than our current towels and dry much faster. Very pleased!
Bought these sheets in sage and think they are great. The color is what I expected. The material quality exceeded my expectations. I have the 8" Serta memory foam mattress that I bought from this site. I also have a 2" memory foam topper that I put on it. WIth the mattress and topper combined the sheets fit very well. They fit the corners very nice and they don't feel like they are about to rip as some others have. Fitted sheet fits the matress surface and corners tightly. Flat sheet is long enough to tuck deep under the footboard end of the mattress and still pull all of the way up to the top edge near the headboard. After 1st wash they were still a little too rough. After 2nd washing they had just a hint of newness / roughness. After 3rd wash they were comfortable. After 4th wash they are perfect. Definitely some of the most comfortable sheets I have slept on anywhere....ever! I don't think I would consider sheets with a lower thread count than these, especially for the insignificant difference in price compared to the several years of use that I will get out of them. Have no fear of these sheets after a few washes. Anyone that would complain about the comfortability of these sheets after washing out the newness probably has a life-long predisposition towards complaining about everything in life... those people annoy me.
These Euro Shams are as pictured . Nice material but they do need to be pressed which is tricky since they have a little extra fabric in the back so that they don't lie smooth. This happens when the back and front are not cut at the same time and if one side is cut slightly on the basis.
The picture is a true depiction of the product. I was looking for a classy purple shower curtain and that is exactly what I got! The fabric has a nice shimmer to it, though it is most noticeable when under direct light. I'm very happy with it!
I have been shopping for bathroom towel sets in a true coral. I saw these Superior towel sets on Amazon. They sounded fantastic but... They were only sold in sets of 2 (I needed 3 total), the price was more than I wanted to pay, and delivery would take weeks. When I checked Overstock, the same Superior towel set was sold individually at a great price and they had my coral! Delivery time? Less than a week but even then the towels arrived a day early. The color was perfect. The toweling is very soft and absorbent. After washing them before I used them, I have had no lint problem. I couldn't be happier with them and my bathroom looks great. Thanks, Overstock!
These bathmats are the thickest plushest I have ever purchased. You will not be disappointed if you buy these. One word of caution: They have "quality" tags on them and you can't just pull them off because they are attached to the threads. If you just pull on them, you may start a "run" in them. Take a second to go get a pair of scissors and cut the tag off.
This is an awesome throw in lots of ways. I'm actually glad I have it but be forewarned...you need to wash this throw 2-3 times before the shedding abates. I had fur from one end of my couch to the other after just one evening of using it right out of the package. It's fine now and truly a nap time pleasure.
I bought this not because it's organic cotton but this was perfect size white foot Matt in our bathroom. I thought it's a bit too fancy to go with organic cotton for FOOT but surely it's luxury. Nice and soft feel.
I have purchased this product before from another but paid a lot more money!! It keeps me warm in the cooler weather, cool in the warmer weather and washes like a dream. I ask you...what more can you ask of a bed set... check out the matching sheets...so silky and soft.
I had never ordered these before, so i was a little apprehensive. But they turned out quite good for the price. I like the quality and look of fabric--nice and tough, just as 800 thread should feel, beautiful sheen, as expected from satin. The embroidery was slightly less than perfect: a couple of loose ends. And a little too much color for my idea of ivory.
Made by Home Environments, these sheets are the best bed linens I've ever owned. I now have four sets and two sets have held up extremely well after two years of regular use. The other two are newer but I expect the same. The softness is incomparable, they're durable and haven't frayed at all, they haven't shrunk after two years of washing and drying, and there is no pilling. Deep pockets fit 18" high mattress perfectly. Highly recommend this brand. I did purcahse another less expensive brand on O.com and they were horrible. Kind-size shrunk after first wash and could not be used so they went into the rag bag. This brand is definitely worth the extra money.
Good quality, great color, nice and firm. Other reviews have said very soft, which scared me off as I was looking for it to provide some additional seating support. personally find it neither too soft or too hard. Just right. Removable cover which apparently can be washed.
bath sheets like this would usually be 40-50 dollars for just one. These are very thick /huge and very absorbent..... I washed them before using and they came out soft and fluffy- after continued washings they continue to look great and are not snagging or getting any less fluffy. ( I bought white- so have no comment on color) They are not smooth towels- meaning they have a loft to them- and not much of a decorative border which i like since that part never drys you anyway. They are a casual looking towel that you can double wrap your whole body in and they dry quickly after you use them - which is amazing considering the amount of cotton in them....total bargain!
I bought the peach towels and wash cloths. They are wonderful beyond expectations. I waited until they were washed & used as the quality was so good. I had bought very expensive wash cloths from a well known department store and they puckered and I gave them away so I wanted to make sure these were as great as I believed them to be. They are!
The material and color(gold) are wonderful. It has a great sheen to it and feels real quality. I have other 1500TC Egyptian cotton which is softer but not as heavy/thick as this material. It also seems to get softer with washing. I've found washing this high TC Egyptian cotton not a problem and simply hang it to dry without ironing. Ironing will probably make it more uniform/smooth, but be careful not to burn it !
The size of king size is very generous - I managed to comfortably (no pun intended!) fit a super king size duvet inside this cover - it's that big ! I used Canadian goose down as I don't like to compromise!
Some might think this material feels too hard and stiff (like canvas) but it's warmth and quality are what I want. It's also real heavy material - you'll feel it's weight from when you first receive it, to when you're under it in bed. It makes me think of parachute material?, it's that strong/solid. This material breathes and insulates really well. You won't be cold in bed again with this material. I've bought all my Egyptian cotton from the USA ( I live in the UK) - which shows how good it is, and this Egyptian cotton is the heaviest I've come across.
This material makes you feel like a King/Queen in bed. Life's too short to miss out on this quality. It's a fraction of the price of similar bedding at Harrods (London), probably better quality and there's more color choices. Quality without paying for an exclusive brand name.
Great color, very absorbent and good quality. We bought the blue and just love the color and are still bright after a few washes. These towels are great for getting out of the shower and wrapping up your hair.
These towels are extremely thick and heavy. They absorb water quickly and easily. I washed them before use and they came out of the dryer even fluffier than they were when received from the shipper. The non-looped banding has a nice velvety feel and didn't shrink with washing. Be aware that you'll probably want to cut off the labels before using, since they are sewn on as large loops. I'd definitely buy these again.
When I first opened the package I thought they were a bit thin but they fluffed up a bit after washing. These are not big fluffy towels, the size is fine and they absorb moisture very nicely. My only complaint is that I received the wrong color but am able to use them elsewhere and am now ordering the right color.
Order one size larger than you usally get in order for it to have enough fabric to wrap completely. Fabric is heavier than I expected, but it holds up well to washing. I got a coffee stain on robe; use of bleach was not a problem....the stain came out the robe looks like new. Good weight for colder months.
I absolutely love this bedding set. It's very durable, quality fabric and simply gorgeous with contrasting pattern mixing. I created a sitting room for one of my smaller bedrooms using a daybed. This bedding set really adds beauty and contrast to the room (see picture). I added a few accents pillows to the bedding (not included in bedding set). Also, I purchased black and white vertical black out curtain panel set (two drapery panels included in set) to compliment the daybed. This was an awesome buy at Overstock.com.
Nice crisp cotton but still soft, held up to washing and didn't wrinkle. Generous size covers my mattress and fits my comforter. Pattern is even better in person and reverse geometric pattern is great too. All seams look good. Great quality for the price!
Ive never used modal sheets before so I thought give them a try. These sheets are great! They are very, very soft and comfortable. A great buy! Ive washed them a few times, colors are holding up well.
These towels are soft and absorbent. When I ordered them I thought I was getting six hand towels but it is a complete set of two bath towels, hand towels and washcloths. The color was a bit darker than what is shown on screen but I would order them again.
nice feel to the towel and absorbs well. I unfortunately washed a lesser quality Martex set of towels with these and have tons of lint from the other towels all over these which I am having trouble getting off because the link adheres so well.
