I had my eyes on this quilt for a while but was reluctant to purchase it without reading reviews first. I looked everywhere but not one single review (it sells at different sites as well). But, I took the chance and purchased this set anyway. By looking at the pictures one would get the impression that this is a coverlet/quilt with several patterns sewn together (zebra/polka dot, etc.) however, that is not the case. Upon arrival of the package I was somewhat disappointed that the description online didn't mention that this is a one piece printed fabric made to look like several patterns sewn together. On another note, the fabric is very light weight. I replaced a Pottery B. quilt that held up for years. Anyone who knows the quality of those quilts knows that they are well constructed and heavy. This is a super lightweight coverlet sewn to make it look quilted. Also, the pink color in the picture looks like a true "hot pink", but in real life it is more "reddish pink" (a darker pink and not as "hot pink"). It was a rather difficult pink to match other items with. I haven't washed this quilt yet as I am afraid the colors will fade since it is not a "good/high" quality quilt. I sprayed it with Fabreeze to get the "chemical smell" out and have another blanket under it before the sheet so it is not directly touching. I read reviews on other quilts from same maker (after my purchase) that are also printed and not pieced together and those reviewers said their quilts looked old and faded after only one wash. I would recommend dry cleaning this to keep colors from fading. Overall the quilt set is absolutely adorable for a girl/teen's room. It gives it a very modern feeling/look. It came with two matching shams and a toss pillow. It gives you the option to add decorations in several different pattern (black, white, pink, polka dot, zebra, etc.). Just know what you are buying ahead of time so that you don't get disappointed thinking this is a high quality quilt because it is not. The saying "you get what you pay for" definitely applies to this case.
I must start by saying I was looking for bedding that would fit in a lime green room and needed to have red in it (my son's color choice for bedding). This quilt is not glaringly bright and the colors actually tone down the room. It is supposed to be reversible, but I found the striped side to be dull and there were spots where the dye was not consistent; literally faded spots. My son likes and it works in the room; so it's a keeper.
