Ok, I can't even begin to tell you how much time I spent reading reviews and researching a comforter that was going to meet my needs but most importantly, my requirements. I looked at both down filled and alternative down. I wanted the heavy, puffy, never want to get out of bed comforter. I went back and forth between a couple. All of them were Hotel Grand btw. The true down comforters were just not affordable and the reviews were less than stellar. I finally decided on this one, as it met all of my other requirements, due to two things. The thread count and the positive reviews. So, I ordered it. Shipping was excellent, it was my first item to arrive. It came in a tight square (CA King) but was heavy. I am extremely pleased with this comforter. It is warm and with time, a dryer, and some patience, it is the poofiest that one can be. My wife adores this. For the price, it cannot be beat. The 1000 thread count allows this to be very soft. It can be used by itself as it is that beautiful but we use a duvet cover due to the color and our dogs. Between chosing the 600 thread count or the 1000, although a small difference in price, I made the correct decision. Again, I spent days researching this purchase. Too many people with disappointed with the quality, lack of "poofiness", etc with their comforters. Not this one. It meets all of my needs and more.
This comforter is super soft and warm. With 1000 thread count and Egyptian Cotton down alternative, it is a very good value as well for such a quality product!
1000 THREAD COUNT AND EGYPTIAN COTTON WILL ALWAYS LAST A LONG TIME AND IS A QUALITY THAT FEELS SO NICE TO THE SKIN.
I would highly recommend this down-alternative comforter. The 1000 thread count cotton fabric has a beautiful sheen to it which gives it a rich, luxurious appearance. The quilted boxes have not flattened out and appear thick and full. The comforter is very warm without being heavy or lumpy. I'd buy this over again. Color is true white.
I love the Hotel Grand Oversized Luxury 1000 Thread Count Egyptian Cotton Down Alternative Comforter! It is larger than standard size, which is great, because the standard size is too small for my king-size bed. It is very soft and fluffy. I highly recommend this comforter!
For years I have purchased down comforters for our master bed. I thought I would try a down alternative for a change, and I couldn't be more pleased. The quality of this comforter is excellent! The extra inches make a huge difference in the appearance. Very satisfied customer! I only wish it was available in Queen size!!
I LOVE this comforter. I was looking for the fluffiest comforter, down or otherwise, possible for our new king bed. I was disappointed with a high loft, much more expensive down version and then set my sights on this one, and it was no contest! The 1000 thread count is so incredibly smooth and soft, the comforter is warm, and it's so fluffy! Two months in, and it hasn't changed a bit. Will recommend to friends and family and buy more in the future. Don't hesitate to give this one a try!
This is a wonderful comforter. The 1000 thread count cover is luxurious and the weight of the fill is light and puffy. It's a great item!
This is a very warm and fluffy down comforter. The size is great for my king bed as it offers a few extra inches compared to a standard king. It was a little difficult to find a duvet cover with the right dimensions, but is worth the search.
I think this comforter is great because is 1000 thread egyptian cotton so its a very high quality comforter. It also is warm but I feel like it is still light
Delivered on time and as advertised. Very nice comforter. Love the feel of high thread count Egyptian Cotton. This is a high end product.
I got this just before I went to college and it was a great purchase. It is really fluffy and plush and is the best duvet I have ever purchased. It is, however, a really warm comforter, which I like, but if you get hot at night this may not be for you. I got this to go in my twin XL duvet cover and there were a few extra inches, but it it for the most part. I have absolutely no complaints. I plan on buying a queen size one when I move into my apartment next year. I totally recommend this.
Nice color , plush, fluffy and a good alternative to a down comforter
I've had this several years now, and finally gave it its first laundering. This turned out to be a process. First, it must go to a large washing machine. The laundromat had large commercial machines, but the next time, I think I'll try to find a large INDUSTRIAL machine. I did get it all the way into the washer, but it was a fight. It didn't really have any tumble space. It was another fight to get it into their largest drier, and again, no tumble space. I dried for half an hour, then restuffed it into the drier in a different position to open a different area for drying. After about half an hour of that routine, some nice people helped me stuff it back into the trash bag to go home. It didn't want to go. The next time I'm bringing it in the truck, as stuffing it into the Jeep Wrangler two-door was the same difficulty as stuffing it into the washing machine. The result was pretty good, however, Not every little stain (Cat Incident) came out because the comforter couldn't circulate in the washer properly, but it's pretty good. Best of all, not one bit of the fill moved anywhere. The baffles kept every speck of it where it belonged. It's back in use, looking as good as before. During use over the past few years, a couple of small tears occurred (Cat Incidents), which have been sewed up by hand. They stayed secured. The fabric is still crisp and crackly, and if any shrinkage occurred, there's no telling. Yes, this comforter is as big as some small European nations, and it would be nice if our bedroom were just a little bigger, as the floof around the bed makes it a little hard to navigate around the room. The excellent part is that no matter how much one person tosses and turns, they cannot yank the covers off of the other person and cause them to get cold. There's enough acreage to cover everyone and then some. I had thought about trying to hem this comforter into a smaller size, but didn't want to mess with perfection. It is a full ten feet by ten feet, and it's awesome. It's thick, warm, and a little noisy from the stiff fabric, but it's all good. I will resume spot cleaning it as needed, and now know it can survive a laundering. I think I will look for a cement mixer to wash it in. (No, not really. The spin cycle in cement mixers doesn't get the water out.) I will call around to find an Industrial Washer capable of washing Luxembourg. This comforter is worth every cent, and if it had not survived that trip to the laundromat, I would have instantly ordered another one just like it. Can't mess with success. Just be aware that it won't fit into your home washing machine, but it specifies machine wash on the care tag. I knew it was possible that every scrap of fill would be smooshed into one corner, but it didn't happen. That may have actually been helped by being crammed into the washer and dryer with no free space to speak of. It saved it from self-destruction.
SO I literally reasearced this product for a while. I always have had down comforters but they never were anything special. I live in Florida but on the water where it does get cold. I like to be cold at night and snuggle in the blankets. I used to work for starwood where they have awesome beds such as the Weston heavenly bed or the sheraton sweet sleeper. Anyways now work for marriot and on my past stay at a nice hotel I decided I wanted to create the bed. I started by looking up the price of the marriot and the weston's bedding. I also noticed the thread count on both the duvet and the comfoter. The thread count is only 250, Anyways the duvet is Epytian cotton. So I made sure to buy a duvet that is 100 percent epytian cotton and a down comforter with a thread count that matched or exceeded 250 which this one is 1000. Anyways this blanket is so fluffy and warm. Its so soft. The value is great. I would put it in a divet because its all white and it fits my duvet perfectly. This is def oversized So anyways I was dissappointed when it arrived because the package was so small. I thought "oh no not another mediocre blanket". They send intrustions stating the blanket is compressed for shipping purposes and it to give it 2 days to become fluffy. I think this feel just like being in a hotel. This blanket is not for you if you want light weight. I jus think the light weight is not fluffy enough. I noticed all the ratings this blanket got and a lot of other blankets do not have ratings that are consistently good, I hope this helps.
This oversized alternative comforter the luxury 1000 thread count is perfect. The only thing that I wished the comforter was a little bigger. The appearance is appealing and feels light when sleeping.
This is a quality, super white comforter and we're very happy with how classy it looks in our room. We have a 100% cotton quilt that lays over the comforter and a 1200 thread ct cotton, flat sheet for underneath to prevent body oils from collecting on the comforter. I neglected to thoroughly read that only the outer material is cotton. The fill is actually polyester, so in my opinion it is too warm for Florida. We are still using it because it feels so awesome and we turn down our AC to 69 degrees anyway. A truly luxurious feel and it lays handsomely and generously over the sides of our king sized bed. Very pleased with overall quality, cost and shipping!
Love the feel. Very silky. Fits my king bed great. I needed a comforter that hung over the side which this oversized one does by at least 8 inches on each side. It probably would be more but my cover is smaller than the comforter.( have to invest in a couple of oversized ones) Very warm. This is heavier than my last one so if you don't like weight on you when sleeping this not for you. Also I realised as I was putting the cover on I really didn't need the 1000 thread count one since I always use a cover on it and can't feel it with a cover! Owell. Still very happy with it. As for washing it is a very tight fit. I have a large front loader and think I will really have to go to the laundry mat to make sure it gets clean. Not a big draw back for me. Ok that's my review!!
The best Hotel Grand 1000TC luxury egyptian cotton down alternative comforter on the market, highly recommended, you won't be disappointed it's highly rated! If you want the best money can buy!
I searched all over for the best fluffiest down alternative comforter. Just when I thought I had scored the best there was from Macys, I purchased this one on a whim. Honestly, at first I was a little disappointed. But a few months later I see how fluffy this comforter is. I haven't used it heavily and I do keep it in a duvet despite the high thread count just for protection--but it's fluffier than comforters more than 3x the price. I do love it now. The fluffiness is beautiful and hard to beat.
