"Are there shams available to match this comforter?"

So far so good. The blanket is warm, heavy and the feather distribution seems to be mostly even. Looks and feels like a quality down comforter.

Down- and feather-filled products are packaged tightly during shipping. Upon receipt, remove this item from its packaging, fluff gently, and allow several hours for full loft recovery. In addition, products sealed in plastic packaging sometimes have a disagreeable scent because of concentrated natural fibers. A few hours of airing typically removes the odor.
We recommend that this item is fluffed at least once a week to maintain down distribution.

Great Quality Great Deal
I loved everything about this comforter! It was warm and light and soft and no feathers were poking through!! The only thing you should note, is if you have a deep mattress, you will need to get a larger size comforter. I have a queen size bed, but the queen size comforter looked funny because it didn't cover the whole mattress. So I put the queen size comforter on my guest bed which is a full size mattress, then I purchased a new comforter in a size King for my bed! I love it!! :)

Hotel Grand Oversized All-season Comforter
The Hotel Grand Oversized 500 Thread Count All-season Siberian White Down Comforter keeps you comfortable all night long. Very nice!
-
Go For it!
I'm loving this Down Comforter. Good Deal...Anyone who knows Down Comforters realizes that you can't do better than Overstock for quality Down products at VERY reasonable prices. Do your research before investing. I've seen comforters at double and triple the price in stores and on the web with less quality! Please remember. Even though it has a Beautiful 500 tc Fabric and is pristine to look at, KEEP A DUVET or COMFORTER COVER on it! When you invest in Down it isn't as important to have a real high fabric count. You'll be covering it anyway. You would want at least a 300 tc to keep it tight enough not to loose feathers. In order to save yourself dry cleaning bills and maintain the quality of the down, It has to be covered all the time or you'll have problems!!As much as we don't like to think about it, as Humans we naturally shed at night. Skin flakes, hair, nails, dirt, sweat plus moisturizers, deodorant even bodily fluids from our mouths, noses and ears. Sorry, I'm not trying to be gross, just realistically informative. Without a cover, down has a tendency to ABSORB, the moisture especially. Ive also seen people fold them up and stick them in a closet to store, or worse in a plastic bag where it can't 'breath'. The moisture can grow into mold. So now your beautiful investment will be yellowed and smell. Good Luck with that!So read what most Manufacturers recommend. From day 1, encase it in a Duvet Cover that fits. I prefer 100% cotton (Doing this will enable you to go 3-5 yrs before you would even need to spend the min. $25. to dry clean!) When you buy the duvet use your actual measurements, or a few extra inches is o.k. Remember they can shrink in either Hot water or the Dryer. I avoid both. Duvets are so versatile you can change your room's look weekly. When I lived in Europe, I began using the Duvets the way they do, as the 'top sheet'. They are made of sheet material to begin with, and it is so simple to make the bed up as well. I know all the info out there can be overwhelming. Probably the 1 thing you want to know is the 'Fill Power' Do you feel cold at night even with 2 reg blankets ? Do you live in a cold climate? I live in N.E. Prefer a fill power of 550 to 650. Also there is a difference between "White Goose Down" "Down& Feathers" "Duck or Waterfowl Feathers" Lastly,In the U.S.A. There is no such thing as "100% Down" It would be impossible to ensure that there wasn't 1 single feather mixed in the down.

Looks just like the photo indicates.
My comforter arrived a week or so ago and went right into a duvet cover after "breathing" several hours. My comforter looks exactly like the picture shown for the product. It plumps up about 2 inches and makes that nice crinkly sound when it moves around. This is not one of those luxurious hotel comforters that plump up a foot off the mattress. You didn't pay for that. You get a comforter that plumps up nicely-- 2 inches. It fits perfectly in a Queen size duvet cover I ordered as well. Since I have not owned it long, I have no idea how the baffling will hold up. I'd like to be able to write another review in a few months about this product, to let everyone know how it cleans and wears, but unfortunately we don't have that option. Just remember, it looks just like the photograph. 2 inch plump is about all you're going to get. I have no idea how it's going to wear for the winter season..

All Season Comforter
I've owned this comforter for almost six months, and it truly is an all-season comforter. It's light enough for summer use yet warm enough for winter. Even though it's listed as dry cleanable, I've washed the comforter in my home washer and dried it with three new tennis balls. It's come out great without losing hardly any down. I've been very happy with the comforter and would recommend it to anyone.

The oversized comforter was spectacular!
Hotel Grand Oversized 500 Thread Count All-season Siberian White Down Comforter was an exceptional value. It is luxurious and so soft. I was pleasantly surprised! I would highly recommend this product...

Great Buy
This comforter was a great buy and is perfect for the guest room or as a gift. Plus, it was shipped by Overstock for free. My husband and I had purchased a more expensive goose down comforter made in Switzerland from Overstock for ourselves that had a lower thread count but higher loft. (Actually, some European goose down comforters cost upward to *** . But my best friend and her husband, who received this one as a gift from us, are very happy with this Siberian white down and said it was cozy and fluffy. I would recommend purchasing a duvet for it as well at the time of purchase. There is a wide selection on Overstock, and they are reasonably priced. Our favorite duvet for the white down comforter is the *** selection with buttons on the bottom. The King size falls about 12 inches on each side. I would also get a King size for a Queen size bed if you want a longer drop on each side and cuddle up in it.

I recommend this Hotel Grand 500 thread count all season white siberian down comforter. It is beautiful, warm and since the color is white, it goes with all color schemes. I am enjoying this down comforter every second I'm using it. The price was very reasonable, I have seen this comforter in stores that had a price of $400.00 - $500.00. Free shipping at Overstock is great.
-
Down Comforter - an excellent value!
I'm very pleased with the down comforter I purchased. I bought this item with my daughter's recommendation who bought a king-size one more than a year ago. Hers is still fluffy and comfortable as well as warm in the winter .... I find mine to be very comfortable and lightweight for summer use and I know it will be wonderfully cuddly warm this winter.
-
Perfect!
I took a long time reading all the reviews for the various down comforters here and am happy I decided to purchase this one. I've had it for several weeks and here are my thoughts: Fabric quality: nice smooth 500 thread count, beautiful stripe design as I wanted Not a single feather has leaked or is even threatening to escape The warmth is perfect and even - goldilocks - not too hot, not too cold (I'm in Montana, so hard to keep a nice constant temp). I think this will be just fine in the summer months as well. The feathers are staying in their baffles, nice and fluffy loft I aired it out for several hours and fluffed it up when I took it out the packaging and no overwhelming odor. The piping and stitching are of top quality Not really oversized but I paid close attention to the dimensions and they were what I was looking for. If you want a comforter that hangs very well below your top mattress, buy one size up. I wanted mine to brush the top of my chocolate brown bedskirt so it was perfect for my standard queen bed (no pillowtop). I didn't want to use a duvet cover and this looks just like the bed in the photo. I was going for 5 star hotel look and got it! I priced equivalent at department stores and they were well over $150, so this value is unbeatable.

This comforter is junk. No loft at all.
Due to the poor loft with this comforter, I would guess that it is truly a mixture of down and feathers. Also, when held up light, the real story emerges. In many of the baffled square it looks like there is barely a tablespoon of down or down/feather mixture. I would not recommend purchasing this product. Spring for the extra few bucks and get a real down comforter from The Company Store.

soooo comfortable
this is probably one of the best purchases i have ever made. i was very leary about buying a comforter online not being able to feel it or see it in person. i could not wish for a better comforter. i would have paid more for it!!! it is nice and cool yet at the same time thick and warm. it feels like i'm covering myself with a cloud.

Yuck
This comforter loses feathers ALL THE TIME. I'm constantly vacuuming up feathers that escape to the point where I'm tempted to throw this comforter away. I though it was a great deal because of the price. Now I know why it was so cheap. You get what you pay for. Buyer beware.

Feathers everywhere!
I have had this comforter over a year now and I am very disappointed with it and am currently searching for a new one. While it does a good enough job at keeping me warm, it constantly leaks down feathers. Whenever I take the duvet cover off to wash, there are feathers all over the bedroom and even with the cover on I cannot go near my bed with black clothes, as they are sure to be covered in white feathers. Very disappointed!
-
This was the worst ever
I must have gotten one of the bad ones. I looked at the reviews and they stated that there might be a little loss of feathers, but I am still pulling them out of places that you shouldn't be. I would recommend Overstock for many things, but not this one.

It’s nice but is too small for our king size bed it doesn’t hang down the sides, so when we sleep one side of the bed it comes up about 1 foot short maybe they sent me an irregular, had to order a Calvin Klein from Macy’s for $ on sale and the measurements on that one are perfect

Liked the comforter but the filling started to clump after a few washes. I wish there was a way to keep the comforter in the same condition it came when it arrived.

The comforter is a great size but didn’t fluff up like we had hoped once we had it on our bed. Other than that, it fit nicely in our duvet cover and has been warm. We haven’t had it long, but it seems good quality.

Q:
"Can I use a twin Pottery Barn duvet cover with this comforter? It looks like duvet covers from Pottery Barn are 68 x 86 inches so 2 inches shorter than this twin comforter. Thanks!"
-
Q:
"Baffle Box Construction: does this mean the boxed are sewed completely so feathers don't move from one box to another?"
-
A:
Down Comforters shells constructed with sidewalls in each chamber are referred to as having a Baffle Box construction, which means within each stitched square on your comforter there are vertical interior walls, which keep the Down fill from shifting
-
A:
The down will tend to migrate over time to the sides and bottom of the comforter. You'll need to shake it out really well to rearrange things, maybe once every 2 weeks
-
A:
No. When you think of baffle box, think about a maze sewn into the comforter. There's a small open section in each box. In order to find a comforter where the feathers don't shift, look for the description "box stitched".

A:
Yes it is wonderful 💕💕

-
Q:
"What exactly is this siberian white consist of?"
-
A:
Siberian white should be goose down. From geese that live in Siberia. Goose down is the fluffy stuff not feathers. Light weight, very insulating, I mean these animals live in a cold climate!
-
A:
There is no such thing as Siberian goose down according to this site. I assume it is poly filled. It is a nice size and there are enough separate pockets to disperse the fill evenly without shifting. I like the cotton cover. There is no such thing as Siberian Goose Down. In other words, Siberia is not and has never been a commercial point of origin for goose down. Siberian Goose Down, or as the name implies, goose down that comes from Siberia or the Siberian Goose, is essentially a myth. So, What is Siberian Goose Down? Most of the worlds goose down comes from China. A much smaller amount (relatively speaking) of goose down originates from Europe, mainly from Poland and Hungary. An even smaller amount of goose down comes from the United States and Canada. This European and North American down is generally considered to be of superior quality, mostly due to the harvesting, sorting, quality standards and sanitizing procedures which are very highly regulated compared to the relatively unregulated practices in China.
-
A:
The term "Siberian down" is a sellers gimmick. It can mean any type of down. The geese in Siberia leave for the winter and migrate south. They are also on the endangered species list. The geese that do migrate to Siberia for the summer have colored feathers and are small birds. Most of the down used world wide originates from China, and a small percentage from Europe. I hope this clears up the myth.
