I bought these towels for the master bathroom. I had nice towels in the guest bathroom but old ones in our master bath. These towels are very thick and plush. It is easy to dry off with them. The only thing of note is that when put in the dryer the first time, they produced LOTS of lint. I cleaned the dryer vent several times before the load was finished drying. I would recommend these towels to others.
These towels are perfect for the person that doesn't want to use a 6 inch thick bath mat to dry off with. They are not too thick, not too thin. Very luxurious without being so thick that you can't wash more than 4 towels at a time in the laundry or use them to wrap up your hair. When washing for the first time, a TREMENDOUS amount of lint does come out of them in the dryer. I had to stop the dry time midway to clean out the lint trap. I was worried there wouldn't be any towel left! But alas, there were still soft just right towels when the cycle was finished.
The picture looks as if the towels are thick and fluffy I havent washed these maybe they will fluff up after washing. Seem to be a bit longer than the normal hand towels that I have bought in the past. The color in picture is an accurate depiction I purchased the gray towels.
This is a great robe, and so comfortable. Ar first try-on I had decided it was too big for me, but later when I tried it again I loved it. .It is great quality, and I'm sure I'll be wearing it for a long time to come. After a shower in the morning it feels great to slip it on before doing my hair etc. and i use it when I want something comfortable in the evenings. Highly recommend it. Great price, great product.
I purchased these washcloths because I had a several house guest visiting. Everyone commented on how soft they were and that they were the perfect thickness, not too thin and not so thick and bulky you couldn't hold them. I loved them so much, I purchased the Hotel & Spa Bath Towels and Bath Sheets as well. I would certainly recommend all three items!
I purchased these mats with the towels and couldn't be happier. They are thick and plush and very absorbent. I washed them all together and had to clean the drier lint screen three times before they dried. I used them after the first wash and have not noticed a lot of lint, but they did plush up quite a bit. Very classy looking and appear far more expensive than they are.
I ordered one set, to see thickness and quality and make further decisions on what to purchase for a swimming pool. I previously worked or a luxury retailer, that sold bath fixtures and towels. I had hands-on experience with towels and knew what to look for. I placed the order on Wednesday, the delivery came first thing Friday. These towels are absolutely beautiful, and exceed my expectations! Perfect hand, plush, absorbent, and should be considered luxury-item! I loved these so much, I'm ordering another (14) for the poorhouse, to stock-pile!
Bought two robes for guests (M and L/XL) -- Found the quality to be excellent and having a good appearance. My wife tried the Med. on for sizing (she is 5'7," medium+ build), she found the med. robe to be slightly snug around the hips, can be used, but she woud prefer a little more room for comfort. The L/XL fit me comfortably at 6'2" and 215 #. I would be happy to receive as gift. Have not washed as of this review to rate appearance or softness after washing. I found the quality better for the price than in local stores.
A nice light- to mid-weight waffle cloth. The cut is good: fairly long sleeves, nice high collar, plenty of wrap for a normal build (a little more than I need, actually). I'm just under six feet tall, lean (about 150 lbs) with long arms and legs, and the S-M size works well for me, coming to just above mid-calf (proviso: I haven't washed the robe yet; I will do so in cold water, since if it shrinks in length, or especially in sleeve length, it will be too short).
The topstitching / felling along the collar and other exposed seems uses quite a loose stitch, with nearly a quarter of an inch between running stitches. This may be just right for sewing the waffle-weave cotton, but beware of snags. My late wife had a kimono-style robe of similar waffle cloth, with a twill band edging the front and neck, which used much finer topstitching and made a cleaner and sturdier finish. I do prefer the shawl collar style for myself, though. The inside piecing seams and the binding on the cut edges, which are exposed, is done with an interlock/overcasting machine, leaving a raw finish (like the side seams of a polo shirt). I would have rated the garment more highly had the finishing been better (for example, felled or bound edges along the visible inside seams) but that would have driven the price up substantially. As it is the robe is excellent value at the Overstock price.
Handtowels are the bane of any B&B... often too flimsy, and don't stand up to the demands of a shared bathroom situation. These plush towels are a terrific solution, thick and plush feel, with an ideal contemporary color that stands up to repeated use between launderings.
