Defective corner ties on 2 twins - Attempting to Replace

The Floral Jacquard Cotton Linen Blend Duvet Cover Set is a nice neutral color and pattern. Unfortunately, after laundering, I discovered while inserting the comforters that both top corner ties on each of the twin duvet covers were sewn into the seams, making them unusable as ties. Interestingly, both bottom ties on each duvet were not damaged. So, the comforters are only 50% tied down and swimming in the covers right now. I'm attempting to replace both duvet covers with BBB because I like the relaxed fabric design and color. Hopefully, the two duvet covers I received are exceptions, and BBB will replace both with intact corner ties or offer another solution. Maybe send me comforter clips?! I'll also mention that the zipper closure seems a bit lightweight for the fabric. I paid full price before the Labor Day sale pricing, so if you like this cotton/linen neutral duvet cover -it's really nice-, grab it now on sale, but examine the corner ties before laundering!
