I'm glad I read the reviews before ordering because the description doesn't do this justice. It is indeed microfiber (I'm going with a polyester blend) and not Egyptian cotton as others have said, but it has a nice smooth finish and a soft hand. Wrinkles came out easily on the touch up steam cycle in the dryer. It does have a button closure and not a zipper. My only complaint is that it arrived with small tan stains on the lower half of one side. Either it was stained with machine oil during the packaging process or the yarn was stained before weaving. Had it not taken two weeks to deliver this, I'd probably exchange it for a new one, but I don't trust Overstock to replace it in a prompt fashion, so I'll keep it and hope it comes out when I wash it.
I ordered this bedding in Twin several years ago when I first went off to college. It was the first bedding I picked on my own, based solely on the good reviews. I absolutely love it, and am finally saying goodbye to it after a near four year run as I prepare to move into an apartment and use different bedding. The colors are vibrant and true to the photos, and have withstood well with a monthly wash (I alternated this quilt with a duvet to keep anything from getting worn out). The quilt is incredibly easy to care for and doesn't bleed, which was important for me as a college student with limited laundry facilities. Plus, with the help of a cotton blanket, it kept me warm in the Northeastern winter (I am from Houston where it rarely gets cold enough to snow, so being warm enough in DC was very important) but also was cool enough to use in the summer. I cannot recommend this set more highly.
