Featuring a luxurious, exceptionally durable 100-percent Belgian linen construction with a rich texture that becomes buttery soft over time, this Echelon Home Sheet Set will make a comfortable, stylish addition to your master or guest bedroom. This sheet set is pre-washed and will become softer with regular use and washing. Tumble drying gives these sheets and pillowcases a casual, tousled look, but of course feel free to iron them for a crisp, 'hotel perfect' look.

Very nice, 100% linen sheet set. I do wish they were a bit thicker, as from previous experiences, the fitted shit tends not to have a great life span. As for these, I can't speak as I've only had them a month or so. But, for the price, they are very good.

We have a thick mattress, and the last set of sheets we bought were supposed to work, but didn't (literally, every night the corners came off). I was skeptical that for the price these would do the trick, but lo and behold, they do! Woo hoo! They feel nice -- soft enough at first wash, and they get softer each time.

Well, sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. These were a gamble, I mean how can you really get good linen sheets for that price? They are terrible. I have had them for about a year. I bought two sets. Washed them several times. And yes, it fills up the dryer screen every single time, but I thought, well, I can deal with that. .....but each time they get washed instead of getting softer as good linen would, they become rougher and rougher. Going to throw them away. I would give this a zero if it were possible. Too bad! Because the colors are so amazing.....

HUGE pocket, wash and dry (I line dry because I love the sun, fresh air smell) My favorite sheets, they feel like linen but wash as easy as cotton. I do iron the pillow cases because I like the way it feels on my face, sheets are perfect the way they are!

As a sometimes historical costumer, I've sewn a lot of linen. These sheets are shirt weight, moderately open weave, and actual flax linen. Like all linen, they should be air dried or at very least tumbled w/o heat or they will wrinkle apocalypticly. They wick sweat away and so are perfect for warm weather or those who suffer with night sweats. I'm ordering a second set.

Probably about 5% to 10% less in quality, but for 60% less in price, who cares. I would bet anything it's the same manufacturer because I have a couple of duvet covers from them, and it's pretty darn close as far as workmanship and material quality. If I said I bought them at the same store, people would believe it. They just don't have the vivid and unique color selection like they do at the store. It doesn't really matter because the white linen looks really sharp mixed with teal and citrus linen. These are a really good deal. You won't be sorry. I bought the white. Fits a deep mattress fine even after washing.

I splurged on these sheets, having read the reviews. I've never slept on linen sheets, and I was hoping I'd love it. I'm fussy about sheets, and I really detest microfiber--and so many "affordable" sheets are now micro and not actual cotton--or they're some kind of blend. Linen is a departure for me, but I was totally impressed. It's naturally cooling and moisture wicking and though not smooth like a high thread count cotton sheet, still completely comfortable against the skin. These sheets are very high quality and have held up well after several months of fairly regular use. Try them. You won't be disappointed.

These sheets are beautiful, however, not practical for any bed that gets regular use. I purchased them for my son’s bed, and stains are almost impossible to remove. The best method I found was to pretreat any stains immediately with stain remover and carbonated water... but after one bloody nose in the middle of the night, they are ruined. They also wrinkle tremendously after washing... something I expected with linen, but worth noting, in case that is not the aesthetic you are going for.

    Questions & Answers

    • Q:

"It says that these are deep pocket, but only state the fitted sheet fits up to 15”, what size mattress does the queen fitted sheet actually fit up to?"

      • A:

My mattress is at least 18" deep and these fit amply. By the way, I absolutely love these sheets. Bought a second set immediately after sleeping several nights in the first set. And they have washed beautifully.

      • A:

My 16 1/2 inch high double/full size mattress with a mattress topper on top of the 16.5", & both the full/double size & the queen size sheets fit. We plan for our future bed to be queen size.

      • A:

They are really deep pockets, my mattress is 15 inches and I use fasteners to tighten them up. They are fabulous sheets, I have 3 sets, and love them.

    • Q:

"My sheet has a rip/cut in it that is appx 1.5" long. What is the best way to repair this sheet? I'm so sad because we hoped to have these for life, but already within a year, they have damage."

      • A:

        I'd sew up the rip.

      • A:

I wonder if overstock could send you a piece of linen to patch the tear?

      • A:

I would stitch it with fine linen thread and run a light bead of fabric glue along the repair, all on the backside of the fabric. The fitted sheet has so much extra fabric that depending upon where the tear is, I might consider taking a piece from a place that gets tucked and patching with it....more work, but might reinforce better. I just looked at mine and there is plenty of fabric in the hems of the flat sheet, too.

      • A:

Contact them for an exchange - if you did not cause this damage, they should replace it. My sheet ripped at the seam on the second washing, and it was a hassle to get them to replace it, but I received my new set yesterday. I stuck with it because I didn't feel it was right that the product couldn't stand up to washing. Hang in there and ask for the replacement.

    • Q:

      "What color is seafoam ?"

      • A:

Hello, Seafoam is a very pale mint green.

      • A:

I bought a set of seafoam in King and in Queen. They are an exact match to my RH linen sheets in light silver sage. Lucky for me that color is discontinued at RH or I would have never found these.

      • A:

I purchased the seafoam and it is a little paler, more subtle than pictured, especially after washing several times.

    • Q:

"I'd always lusted for linen sheets so was thrilled to find these at about half the cost I've seen anywhere else. Very happy with my purchase. The seafoam color is subtle and matches other EF bedding I have perfectly. Soft, rumply, airy - what's not to love? I will be buying another set."

      • A:

The sheets are decent, but run BIG. Also, expect your lint trap to be filled after drying these sheets. They shed like crazy. Have had them for a while, and still get a ton of lint. They are comfortable; worth it to try linen bedding.

      • A:

Re lehleh76, 's remarks, yes, the bottom sheet is just a tad big, but not so much that it's a negative for me. And I haven't had the experience of the sheets "shedding"; my lint drawer is no different after washing than with other sheets. Still in love with my linen sheets after nearly a year. I have other beautiful sheets/duvets but I keep the linen sheets on all the time. I have two sets so I can easily swap them out.

    • Q:

"The description says linen construction, are these sheets 100% pure Belgian linen?"

      • A:

Hello, The sheets are 100% linen made with pure Belgian flax.

      • A:

Don't worry, they are indeed pure linen. Not only that, they are identical to the stonewashed Belgian linen sheets I have from Restoration Hardware.

      Read more Read less
    • Q:

"what is the thread count on these sheets?"

      • A:

It's not so much the thread count in linen sheets but the quality. Linen fiber is thicker than cotton so the thread count is always less - usually 80-150. These sheets are absolutely lovely for the price. They hold up well and get more and more comfortable as they age- like an old tee shirt.

      • A:

I don't know the thread count, but the sheets are very soft and comfortable.

      • A:

I've never seen a thread count for linen. But I've got 3 sets of these sheets and absolutely love them. The get softer and softer with each wash, are the most comfortable (heat/cool-wise), and don't feel grungy ever. They do throw off a LOT of lint in the dryer but that's just the nature of linen. They are fairly substantial but not thick. They are opaque if you hold them up to a window.

      • A:

Kathleen is correct, thread count is not quoted for linen bedding because it is not a relevant metric. Thread count is related to yarn size, which is meaningful for cotton bed linens - - with cotton, the finer the yarns, the more threads you can fit into a square inch. For linen, this metric is not meaningful, the quality of linen is not related to yarn size.

      • A:

The label says 100% linen (which they are). Made in China with Belgian Flax. I have 2 pairs of these sheets and really like them. I have an antique French linen sheet and a set of antique heavy linen French sheets, and 2 sets of Belgian linen sheets from Restoration Hardware. The RH sheets are made in the USA of imported fabric. The Echelon seem a bit thicker than the RH set which was the least expensive RH set. They have more texture than cotton sheets.

      • A:

They feel like 100% linen. Very soft and airy. My most favorite sheets ever! I have the seafoam and it's lovely. Highly recommend!

      • A:

If you see an ad for Linen sheets showing a thread count, or TC, Run the other way. That will be your number one clue that they are NOT made of linen. Linen fabric is always referred to by weight. Most common I've seen are a lightweight 10oz linen or a heavier 13oz linen. These sheets are somewhere in between. I have many antique French Linen sheets, that honestly make better upholstery fabric than sheets because they are way too heavy. These sheets from Echelon are the perfect weight for sleeping year round.

      • A:

Follow up to another answer I saw from "Susan E.S." I have 6 sets belgian linen sheet sets from Restoration Hardware. Some are stone washed and some are Vintage wash, but Every single one of them says "made in China"... I don't have the garment wash, maybe those are made in the US, I bought every set directly from the RH website for a small fortune. The Belgian linen sheets from Echelon are the same weight, same quality and the seafoam is an exact color match to light silver sage. I'm so happy I found them. My only fear is that they will be discontinued at some point.

"What is the depth of the fitted sheet? I have a standard mattress and do not want ones that are 15" deep "

      • A:

They fit a deep mattress with room to spare and they are rough and scratchy!!! I don't recommend them at all!!!!

      • A:

They cover a deep mattress but are able to tuck into a normal one too (which I have). LOVE LOVE them - very soft and breathable.

      • A:

The queen are pretty deep - they fit my pillowtop mattress with no problem. I don't find them scratchy at all. And they get softer with each wash. I've got 3 sets now and are all I use.

      • A:

I also have a regular mattress and they fit great. They feel like linen. The more you wash the softer they get. I washed mine 4 times before sleeping on with fabric softener. Love mine!

      • A:

The depth of mine are approximately 13" from the top of the sewn seam corner seams, to the bottom where the elastic is. I have a 16.5" full size mattress with a 2" topper on top of that and the fitted sheet covers almost 2/3 of the way down the mattress. But it works for us as the elastic is snug and holds with no problems. These are the coolest sheets for my husband who's always hot, & the best sheets on our bed during the intense So California drought heat last summer . After many washing & drying cycles - they are our favorite sheets. We got the silver gray in full size. We also purchased the linen cotton 4-piece sheet set in ivory at the same time, and those I don't recommend so much.

      • A:

I believe they said it is around 16"because I have a fairly thick latex mattress and there is room to spare.

      • A:

Minimum 15inches- I have a pouffy mattress cover and the sheets fit great...and they really soften up the more they're washed- Pam B

      • A:

They are deep. They are also great sheets. They do get softer and softer.

      • A:

My mattress is very deep, 18"+ and these are a generous fit. Soft right out of the package. I will be buying more.

      • A:

I have one of my guest beds that is less than 15" and the excess can just be tucked in under the mattress. The weight of the mattress holds them in place fairly well, but it's easy to re-tuck them in when making the bed. Better that they are too big, than too small, so it's worth the extra effort. Especially for sheets of this quality at this bargain price.

    • Q:

"What is the weight of the linen? I am looking for a number... Either GSM or ounces. Thanks"

      • A:

I don't know if this is helpful in any way, but the entire queen size set weighs 5 pounds. Perhaps you have something you can compare that to, but that's all I could figure to do. Hope if helps.

      • A:

The weight is not listed on either the packaging or the labels attached to the sheets themselves. I would say it is a solid midweight linen, much heavier than what my mama would call "handkerchief" linen. These sheets are also heavier than a set of Ralph Lauren linen sheets I have that were much pricier. In fairness the RL ones have a smoother and finer weave (the individual linen threads are smaller), so they were softer right out of the box, but the Echelon ones get very soft after several washings. And at least his price point, I could buy them for every bed in the house.

      • A:

I can give you an idea of the "hand" of this beautiful linen. It's not the heaviest I've seen, but it is opaque and very appropriate for sheets. I've seen much thinner, almost translucent linen sheets, and for the money, this is the best value I've seen. The pillowcases are generous and easy to slide over a standard pillow. The craftsmanship is excellent (again, I've seen much worse, with crooked hems, for example). A very good value for the price.

    • Q:

"The colors are not labeled. Is slate or stone the darker color?"

      • A:

Actually they are in one of the views. Stone is like khaki & Slate is charcoal grey. I have the white & love them. The more you wash the softer they get. I washed mine 4 or 5 times before using initially. Enjoy!

      • A:

Slate. The stone is more of the brownish/grayish.

      • A:

The slate is the darker grey; the darkest sheet color. I purchased 2 sets of the stone. (One for a Christmas present.) They are brownish-grey, similar to a natural un-dyed, unbleached linen color. These sheets are a great price. As you probably know, linen sheets can be quite expensive. I hope this helps.

"I purchased a set of the seafoam sheets about 4 months ago. There was a stain on one of the pillow cases so I soaked it in cold water and regular, delicate soap. The color came out of it. Now the case is ruined. Can I purchase another set of just pillow cases? I don't know why the color came out but I just need to replace the case."

      • A:

I cannot answer the question. It needs to be directed to Overstock to see if they sell just pillow cases.

      • A:

I just looked them up and they sell pairs of seafoam pillow cases for $**. There are four available right now.

      • A:

I always order extra pillowcases, and they've always been in stock- I also love the sea foam sheets...I've washed them at least five times and they haven't lost color. Hope this helps... Pam B.

      • A:

Each opinion may vary, we will happily leave your question available for customers to share their thoughts as well.

      • A:

I bought these recently and have washed them twice during regular use. They are quite soft and drapey, though still a bit pilly, which was surprising. Wrinkles haven't been an issue. I'm guessing the fabric is finished differently than for garments, so it ends up with a different hand. We're enjoying them so far!

      • A:

I have purchased 8 sets as well as 2 duvet covers and 1 shower curtain. Yes, they wrinkle and rumple as linen is known to do and this should be an expectation with the purchase. As for "stiff and scratchy," ive noticed inconsistency, not related to any color or size. Some sets are scratchier and stiffer than others, none are unacceptable, all feel great after 2nd or 3rd wash I have an old set of Pottery Barn linen sheets, and they are softer but also far more expensive. Having said that, these are an excellent value,, high quality, and i highly recommend them.

      • A:

Yes, very wrinkled after washing! Scratchy and a bit too warm for the summer time. Through out the year, I most ALWAYS were 100% linen blouses and shirts with grrreat satisfaction. Thought that I would have bed clothing the same; however, my experience, thus far, with these linen, king-size, bed sheets, has been disappointing. I plan to reassess during the winter months with my bedroom kinda of nippy!

      • A:

Like another reviewer, I live in linen, so was not surprised that these are soft and rumply. I find them perfect for summer - very airy. I tend to run hot, so they will work for me year-round. Love love love!

I'm very pleased with them and highly recommend them to anyone who knows quality and comfort.
