I bought these duvet covers to change out the look of our bedroom from spring quilts to a warmer cabin-like winter look. They are soft, breathable cotton. I used a large safety pin in the inside of each corner so the quilt inside wouldn't shift and bunch. I have to twin xl beds that make up a king bed configuration (no blanket stealing!) These were one of my better purchases. The covers are roomy. The hidden button closures stay closed. The wonderful weight is just right. I feel these will last a good long time. The picture represents the colors very well. This cover looks terrific with the cherry wood bedroom set. Extremely pleased.
I love the print and the fabric feels nice but it is thinner than most duvets/pillowcases. Not sure how much that matters. Also, the full/queen down comforter I bought for it is bigger than the duvet. It's on my 9 year old son's bed and it looks great and he likes it so overall it's nice but not 5 stars. If you want this look without spending a fortune then this is perfect for you!
The duvet cover is well constructed and looks really nice. The only reason I didn't rate it five stars was that it did not have any ties on the inside corners to secure the duvet in place. I had to sew in my own.
This isn't exactly what I expected, but I really love it. The fabric is more like brushed cotton than what I think of as flannel, but a washing with fabric softener made it very nice. The fabric is substantial without being too heavy, and it's a generous size so the comforter doesn't bunch up inside.
I purchased this king size duvet cover in grey about three months ago and I have been very happy with it. The checkered pattern gives it just enough to make it more interesting than a pure solid fabric. The slight sheen and the thickness of the fabric make it look very classy on the bed. I would call the grey a nice neutral, silvery grey. It definitely doesn't have a taupe tint like some greys do, nor does it lean toward a green tint as I have also seen. It fits wonderfully in our bedroom with grey blue walls and a medium blue rug.
It seems pretty durable so far. We have two cats (who like to chase each other up and over the bed) and a dog that is occasionally allowed to come up on the bed for a few minutes, and the cover is holding up to all of that wonderfully. My old solid cottony duvet cover used to have scratches all over it from where the cats had run across it, but this cover is showing no signs of that. It also doesn't seem to grab and hold onto fur; I think the fabric weave is pretty nice and tight.
I would say the fabric is relatively heavy. I put the cover over the bedspread we already had (until I could buy a new down alternative insert), and it definitely made the bedspread feel hotter. The two challenges I've found so far are the lack of ties in the corners to help hold a duvet insert in place, and the size. At 106" wide and 92" long, it's quite possible that it will be too large for some king duvets, as many seem to range from 100"-104"; definitely measure your duvet first before ordering. I'm making sure to find the widest insert possible so it fully fills out the cover. The benefit to this size is that it really will cover your king bed with some overhang on both sides.
We bought this duvet cover in white and love it. It washed up very well and has no wrinkles if removed from the dryer right away. It is soft, and the pattern is very subtle. I chose this one after the damask duvet cover I originally wanted was out of stock, but I'm very glad I ordered this one instead. Would definitely recommend it.
