Wow, I am really impressed with this blanket. I do dog rescue and try not to spend a lot of money on this stuff. When you sleep with 3 / 80 lb Boxers, you just plan on buying new bedding every 6 months. I opened the package this past week during the cold blast. My apartment is not well insulated and it was freezing with the crappy electric wall baseboard heaters. I have to tell you I was toasty warm. The price was fantastic and reminded me of high end bedding I owned pre dog days. I love that animals were not hurt in this process. Please known they rip the feathers from the under belly and chest to get those feathers. I can sleep feeling good about my purchase too.

I love our new comforter. It washed beautifully as long as you follow the care instructions. It fits wonderfully in our Duvet cover that I bought from overstock as well. My husband curls up in our bed and loves how soft and cool it feels. I was worried it may be hot for our horribly hot climate (80+ degrees in winter months and 100 in summer with high humidity) but it is perfectly cool to sleep in without having to kick it off in the middle of the night. Very happy with the value of it also because I didn't want to spend a ton of money on bedding since I have two small children and a dog that could ruin it easily.

The first night I slept with this cover on my feather tick, it was as though I was being strangled by the bedding. The second night was better. BUT, by the third night total "mine all mine" kicked in. Getting used to the added weight is a factor you will have to consider. Made in Germany, this duvet set is so wellmade. Washes beautifully. I did not have a problem with a lot of dryer lint. Halfway through drying take the duvet cover out and shake. Mine was drying itself into a ball. I sew and was going to make a cover for my tick. Lightweight, 108" wide flannel would have cost me over $60. Add the cost of buttons, thread and ties, was looking at about $80. I think I got a great bargain.

We just bought an old farmhouse (200 years old mind you!) and it has turned into the "Money Pit"....it started out with great plans and dreams... but as expected, it needed work...more structural repairs....that will set us back from creating my "dream farmhouse" right away! I wanted to dive in and paint walls, hang curtains, go antique-ing, etc....but we are amidst gutted walls, hanging wires, delayed appliances, etc...sigh.. as well as in need of a bed!....Ta-Da! The "Giselle" antique bed was perfect! I was watching a few beds on-line that i liked, but could not afford yet with all the other expenses going on in the house....then suddenly there was this FLASH sale on Overstock and we were able to purchase this queen bed for only $199 which included delivery....MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!...It came within days (which was amazing considering all of the holiday overload the postal service gets in December!)....and looks AMAZING in our freshly painted bedroom! It was quick to put together, well made and does not scratch the 200 year old wooden floors....it made me cry (with joy) when I put the bedsheeets on, antique quilt and fluffy pillows! Its the ONLY room in the house,so far..., that is somewhat finished like a picture on HOUZZ! I love this bed as it seems to belong here....and has made all of the construction going on with the mess....somewhat more bearable....I just go upstairs and look at my new bed, smile and go back down to the "new" old kitchen and know that dreams are in the makings and totally worth waitting for! As for the bed.....it is a great deal, well made, will look great with antique and modern bedding...and....if you need a change...you can slap on some Annie Sloan chalk paint, distress it and it can transform yet another bedroom in your house for a fraction of an expensive antique bed anywherelse! Extremely affordable, versatile and inviting.....cant beat that!
