These pillows came in a huge box and I was afraid they might be TOO plump, because I am a side-sleeper and tend to "hug" my pillow. Putting the pillowcase on was a little daunting, but I managed just fine. I also have peripheral neuropathy in my hands and feet, causing them to get cold and then get "prickly" and have always used a "toe tent" to keep the heavy quilts off my feet. However, they get cold way down there and you can't tuck the covers in with the tent. I got a bright idea and tucked in my sheets and placed one of the pillows under the top sheet at the foot of my bed (it has no foot board) and the sheet held it in place. That first night really surprised me...I could rest the bottoms of my feet against that nice warm and plump pillow and my feet were warm, but the pillow didn't squish over my toes to make them uncomfortable. I was so happy and excited for this solution that I could barely get to sleep, but the next night I was out like a light and never woke up with my feet or hands in pain. Who knew that the right pillows could be almost medicinal! Thank you Angel Soft pillows!
Why does "down alternative" mean one big hunk of foam? As opposed to one big hunk of down?? No justification for the "down alternative" claim; if used as bedding, a couple of bricks could be considered "down alternative." However these pillows do not heat up as much as foam usually does; I did not wake up with the back of my head soaking wet. Decent choice if you want a bouncy foam pillow. If you want down or down alternatives, look elsewhere.
The Cheer Collection Down Alternative Pillows are comfortable, soft, and I didn't wake up with any pain in my neck. They are affordable and a great value for 2 or more pillows.
