This memory foam mattress topper consists of two pieces of foam. One piece is one inch of blue color foam but it's not gel. The other piece is two inch memory foam. It is more comfortable than my own mattress but it is not dense enough, in my opinion. It does help to reduce the aches and pains though.

I have tried many memory foam mattress toppers over the years including four and even six inch ones. This one by far is the best one yet! It has just enough support without taking away a comfy softness. I use a mattress pad on it so don't really notice it being hot. It expanded in a day and was easily placed and on the bed. Fit perfectly. I purchased another previously for the guest room! Definitely recommend!
