Down and feather-filled products are packaged tightly during shipping. Upon receipt, remove this item from its packaging, fluff gently, and allow several hours for full loft recovery. In addition, products sealed in plastic packaging sometimes have a disagreeable scent because of concentrated natural fibers. A few hours of airing typically removes the odor.

We recommend that this item is fluffed at least once a week to maintain down distribution.

I have lots of skin allergies and I cannot tolerate anything on my bed that's itchy. This comforter is the best! I will never buy anything else to go on my bed. It's great for summer or winter. I have bought 3 of them. I wash them in my washer and they are still good.

I bought three of these comforters because they are so nice! They are exactly as described. They are lightweight but very warm and cozy. The 240 threadcount material feels so soft and comfortable against your skin. The stitching keeps the down in place which is really nice. I purchased one for the guest room and during my son-in-laws stay he liked it so much he made my daughter buy one for their home! Would buy again, excellent price, quality item.

I read the reviews before I bought this and everyone said that it was very thin. I guess I didn't know how thin they were talking. This is the thinnest down comforter I've ever seen. Like, half an inch thick-MAYBE. However, I really like it. I put it on my bed right when we got it... I can't believe how warm it is! This paired with flannel sheets is more than warm enough I dont think I will being using a "winter down".

Perfect Price, Great product! Partner and i love it. We find it hard getting out of bed from being so darn comfortable with this on us! Being in South Florida I have been weary of buying one due to being afraid with the heat. This thing is great with the AC cool @ night like I like. Now I just need to find the right duvet covers! :) Shipping took a bit but I think because it came from CA.

    • good lite comforter
      Verified Purchase

Very saftisfied with the quality for the price I paid! My husband says it's perfect, he tends to get very warm as he sleeps, and this comforter is the perfect temp for him. I could use a little bit more warmth, so I add a light blanket to my side. Come summer, though, this will be the only comforter on the bed. We live in a maritime climate, so the warmest night here would be 60 degrees. The comforter covers the mattress well, if you're looking for a king that covers the box base also, choose another of larger dimensions. If a down comforter of good quality that isn't overly warm is what you're looking for, this is the one.

I've been needing a new comforter for a while now, so I decided to buy one from overstock since the prices are always so reasonable. A few of the reviews said that this was more of a "down blanket" since it wasn't fluffy enough, and when it first came in the mail. i admit it was a little anticlimactic. BUT, I tossed it in the dryer with a few tennis balls for 15 minutes and it came out soft and huge and fluffy. LOVE IT. It's pretty, too. Very elegant looking and perfect by itself with a few throws draped over the end. Very warm, not too heavy, and i haven't noticed any down leaking as of yet. VERY happy with this comforter.

    • Give it time.....& its great!!
      Verified Purchase

You have to give this blanket time to puffy up. When it first arrived I was very disappointed with how thin it was, it looked like 2 thin sheets. After 3 days it puffed up and it¿s very warm. It is not as puffy as it looks in the picture. This is a great down blanket and you can¿t beat the price!

    Questions & Answers

    • Q:

"is this comforter 100% down. Or is there a % of it feathers"

      • A:

I am sure it has some feathers as pure down is generally outrageously expensive. However, I feel no "poking" feathers or anything like that. It is very warm and comfy.

    • Q:

"what is the fill power of this down comforter?"

    • Q:

      "What is the down filling?"

      • A:

Huh?? Down is down, like feathers from a goose !!!! This is a very nice comforter. All the specs are in the description on the website. Overstock stands by its products and this is a nice lightweight quilt.

    • Q:

"Does this comforter have ties to attach to a duvet cover?"

      • A:

        No, it does not.

      • A:

No it doesn't. You must find a duvet cover that has the strings attached in it already.

    • Q:

"What is the size of the squares?"

      • A:

I don't have the comforter in front of me but I want to say like 10 x10.

    • Q:

"I am looking for a white comforter similar to ones used in hotels. I like the flat cotton feel, not the slippery feel. I like this one because it says it is lightweight, but need to know if the cover is a true cotton, and not a silky microfiber?"

      • A:

Yes. It is a nice cottony feel. I know what you mean about slippery feel. This is a lovely cotton cover and we are very pleased with this comforter in every way.

    • Q:

"I just wondering if the cover is 100% cotton? What % of White Down in it and if it sterilized? If all material is a new? Where this comforter is made? Thank you!"

      • A:

Don't know if it is all cotton, but it feels that way. Also don't know the percent of down, but it is not as soft as more expensive I have bought. It makes a lot of crinkly noise, so needs to be in a cover. My husband says it is too warm for him.

      • A:

Yes it is cotton, but it is not puffy as a down comforter usuallyis.

    • Q:

"I am looking for a very thin (virtually no loft) lightweight down comforter for all-season use (but especially the hot summer months). I would also prefer a cotton/sateen outer shell. Does this comforter make much noise with movement? Would you recommend it? "

      • A:

I find this too warm for Texas summers. It does not make noise, however I use a cotton duvet cover over it. I love mine for cooler weather, 70 and below at night.

      • A:

From Indiana and even though this is a light comforter it is too much even for our summers. 68 degrees or under. I love this comforter, no noise with movement.

    • Q:

"Will the king version of this comforter fit best in a king size duvet? Others have mentioned using a queen size duvet but the dimensions of a queen size duvet are smaller than this king comforter."

      • A:

The king is approximately 102 inches x 86 inches and should fit a standard king duvet.

      • A:

My duvet is king and just a little larger than comforter. But it does fin

    • Q:

"Is this product still made in the USA and the same as described three years ago?"

      • A:

This comforter is manufactured the same as before.

    • Q:

"What is the fill power rating?"

      • A:

Hello Lin, the twin has 18 ounces of fill, the full/queen has 25 ounces of fill, the king has 29 ounces of fill. Thanks for shopping with us.

    • Q:

      "Is this comforter machine washable?"

      • A:

Hello jazzman1111, no, this will require dry cleaning for best results. Thank you for shopping with Overstock!

      • A:

I've had mine for three years now. I use it as a summer comforter and I abuse the heck out of it. Because it was so cheap I just throw it in the wash with some bleach to clean it up. Tennis balls in the dryer on a lower heat and some manual turning during drying, what do I care right? It takes it and keeps on ticking.

      • A:

Hello Laura, thank you for shopping with us. The comforter does not have fasteners according to reviews. Have a nice day.

"The description says this must be dry cleaned. I've seen other down comforters that are machine wash & dry....is this possible for this one?"

Ive owned mine for a few years and wash and dry it at home. Its fine:)

    • Q:

"I learned a long time ago not to buy "full/queen" sheets, quilts, or comforters for my queen-size bed--it's a good deal for people with full, a bad deal for people with queen. Often full/queen is just a bad fit for queen. Overstock, are all of your down comforters listed as "full/queen?" I can't seen to find one with the' full' qualification,"

      • A:

Hello billbeamerbuff, we do apologize, we are not currently in stock with a down comforter listed for a Full size only. Thank you for shopping with us.

    • Q:

      "What size is the king?"

      • A:

Hello Woodshole. King is approximately: 102 inches x 86 inches with 29 ounces of fill. Please let us know if you have any further questions.

    • Q:

"what dimensions is the queen sized comforter"

      • A:

Hello snovalleygirl, the full/queen is approximately 86" inches x 86" inches. Please let us know if you have additional questions. Thanks for shopping with us.

    • Q:

"Is this duck down or goose down? The "Materials" listed are "cotton, down, feathers". Is this true? Are there also feathers? Typically feathers are not considered "down"."

      • A:

Hello heatherm9, this is filled with white down. Thanks for shopping with us!

    • Q:

"This sounds like something I'd be interested in - however I'm done with baffle boxes!! This says 10 inch box stitch construction - is this different than baffle box? If so, how? Also, in reading the questions, it states it's filled with down, cotton?, and feather fiber? What is feather fiber? And is it filled with cotton or constructed of cotton?"

      • A:

Hello chillatiger, Box stitch means that the fabric is sewn on all 4 sides of the actual box on the comforter to keep the down fill enclosed and not able to shift, but makes the loft (height) of the fluffiness more limited (as it is like pillows sewn together, versus baffle box which has a fabric extended on all sides so there is more loft (or height) to the comforter. There is no feather fiber and the fabric is 100% cotton. Have a great day.

    • Q:

"Is this comforter a box stitch?"

      • A:

Hello philc13, thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, the information you have requested is currently unavailable. You will receive an email notification once an answer is posted. Have a great day.
