I have spent thousands of dollars and nearly 6 years trying to find a duvet/quilt/bedspread/bed cover that is long enough to fall over and cover my very high California King mattress and box springs; durable enough to accommodate my three oversized dogs (who like to visit and snuggle) in a design that fits my somewhat eclectic taste. This quilt answers all of my requirements. It's sturdy, stylish and perfectly sized. My bed has a rustic wooden frame and sits on a natural stone floor. The quilt nearly hits the floor and its muted colors look gorgeous with the earthy tones of the bed and floor. It is a great weight, can handle all three dogs, washes like a dream and looks amazing on the bed. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.
Very nice color combinations in the quilt with a nice choice of French feel florals with a few ethnic touches; put together in the manner that Anthropologie does. It has the feel of "designer" in those choices and does not feel "county" but a quilt that is eclectic that will span many design elements. It works well in my eclectic to modern to oriental bedroom. Not the best quality of cottons but most acceptable. Quilting stitches are sturdy and the fettichine design is nice. Good weight for both summer and with a blanket in the winter. Very happy!
I put this in my 11-yr. old daughter's room. I have it mixed with a dandelion pattern---some from Pottery Barn, others from Etsy. It's eclectic and timeless at the same time. Very comfortable.
The bedspread is lovely. It has a fairly intricate quilting pattern and is a nice spring weight. I am switching it out for my dark, heavy winter set to lighten the look for the warmer weather. COLOR - The patches that look white in the photo are not all white, some are off-white/creamy white. There is a fair amount of yellow in some of the squares which bounces off the greens making the effect a lot more yellow/lime green than the picture - still pretty but if you are not looking for a lot of yellow it will surprise you. What appears to be a rose color in the picture is actually quite coral. This quilt has an unexpected mix of muted/washed out colors (purple, lt blue, some greens) and bright (coral, yellow, red, dk green, aqua tinged blue) color tones that actually work together pretty well with the overall effect being warmer than it is "bright." STYLE - This has a lovely old-fashioned country quilt look that I think is versatile enough for a more eclectic decor style if you prefer. SIZE - If you have an extra deep mattress this will not reach the floor. But all you need to do is take some measurements and compare them with the product details to know where the sides will fall. (It's unfortunate when people blame the product?) The top of my king mattress is 27'' high, the bedspread hangs about 5 1/2'' from the floor on the sides. There is ample length. As a matter of fact, the corners drag on the floor a good 10-11''- I sure would't want more fabric there. I am still tying to figure out what to do with it. This is a bedspread. There is enough length to fold the top over your pillows (picture a hotel bed) so the shams, though a nice extra, are really not needed. OVERSTOCK - great to deal with as always, took about a week to receive.
