I had to look long and hard through the choices at overstock for mattress protectors to find a tiny few that were not made in China. I found this one, which I believe is made in the USA. It's quite a bit more expensive than the cheapest ones that were made in China, but I believe it's worth it, for reasons that are pretty obvious I think. The mattress protector itself feels like it is of good quality. I don't believe I've ever had any problems with bed bugs or mites, but that doesn't mean it can't happen at some point, and this mattress protector will save me from any sort of problems like that in the future, assuming its claims are accurate. It was not difficult to put on, I did it by myself so it did take a little effort to prop up the mattress so I could put it on, but the mattress isn't that heavy so it wasn't too bad. The zipper is nice and ensures that it will stay in place and keep the mattress completely protected at all times.
Bought for my sons dorm room mattress. Excellent quality fabric. Doesn't crinkle when you turn over, it is smooth and thin yet effective. I bought for my three other kids as well after having this a year and it performing so well. It is a must have for a college dorm room for sure. It is exactly as described in the listing.
