First, the good news; this is a thick, warm and all around yummy robe. However, it hardly covers the body. I bought 2 of these; one for myself and one for my husband. I looked at several robes and settled on these. I had to cut up a polar fleece blanket I had and make gussets for both robes. Also, the green robe turned out to be a very light green - not the forest green pictured. That was a disappointment. The purple (I think it was called eggplant) is really a beautiful color of purple. So, the long and short of it is, with the day I spent altering the robes the are big enough for wonderful lounging. They are heavy duty nice robes. Hope this helps you robe shoppers!
We purchased these robes for our small hotel and we got one size (the one marked 'one size fits most'. It is true that it does fit most, and almost all of our guests comment on the robes, many asking to buy them. It is not the most luxurious robe on the market, but for a hotel in a hot and humid climate, it's ideal because it dries fast, is very lightweight and withstands frequent washing. The fabric seems pretty resistant to stains as well. The size seems to look good on everyone. The fabric was a little stiff at first but after a few washes they're nice and soft. The one downside is that the hem on the ties has come apart on a few, but that is a quick and easy fix.
I ordered a blue hooded robe for our 8 year old grandson and a pink one for our 8 year old granddaughter. We live in a community that has a year around indoor/outdoor pool that they just love. When the weather is cold they use the robes to stay warm after getting out of the pool. They also use them for after showering. The robes launder very well.
