Given as a gift to replace one given to her 10 YEARS AGO! "Just what she wanted", to quote her! "Long, heavy, WARM"... (as she lives north of Bay City, Michigan"! John
I, like many, was trying to finding a perfect replacement for my 10-yr-old terrycloth towel robe. I am very happy with this purchase. I like that it's terrycloth both inside and out (not just one sided). It keeps me warm and dry. I am most impressed with the fit. I am a tall and slender female, and the S/M is just big enough to be comfortable, but very easy to move around in. It is the perfect weight. A couple months after I purchased this a friend gave me an expensive spa version from another company. It is terrycloth on only the inside, is such a terrible fit I can't move around in it, and is way too heavy for my comfort. I threw hers away and kept this one. The one downside is that strings do come off of it. I foresee needing to re-sew the seam of one of the arms in the future. But it's so comfortable I can't complain.
The quality is top notch. I love the terry cloth interior, dense and absorbent. The only thing is that there isn't an inside loop or tie to keep both sides of the robe set in place as you tie the sash. Furthermore, the S/M is more conducive to a small size. I'm a medium (8-10 women's) and it was a little snug with a revealing gap in the front. If you like extra comfort and space in fabric, go a size up.
I bought the white robe in a S/M and have found it fits perfectly. I am usually a size 6-8 and am about 4'4" and the length is just right. It's a comfortable robe, well-made and well-priced.
