First, let me say "quick dry" means thin. They do dry quickly, they dry you off nicely. But don't expect a luxurious feel. They do the job, they do not shed, and wash well.

These towels are soft and dry very well. They are a medium weight but very soft. They showed up lighter than in the picture, more of a taupe but I did not mind, they are oversized and work very well. I am pleased with this purchase.

So far so good.
We received these towels last week. I got the sage. They are big, soft and after the initial washing have not had any unraveling. Now let's see if my husband can resist throwing them on the floor and getting them dirty, like the rest of our towels.

So we have had these towels for a year now. They are holding up well and their color is still holding. The down side is that after a month of use here and there throughout the towel some of the looping of the threads became strands. It is still a towel and they work fine but I have had various towels over the years that didn't ever do this sort of thing. I mean I have hand towels, bath towels that are 10 years old that haven't ever done this. So I did some thinking as to why this possibly happens. So it says that the terry cloth looping is 100% cotton--however, the warp that this looping is woven through to create the towel fabric is polyester. It would be different if the warp and the terry cloth thread were both a combination of each other. But when they are two separate fibers forced to work together to create the toweling fabric, they fray each other out. I think the strand of cotton over time and subject to washing and heat actually gets "cut" by the polyester. So all of these towels now have strands of threads on their surface and if you want to be picky and have it nice for company you may find yourself "trimming up" your towels. (I am a crafter and work with fibers and textiles so I know what I am talking about.)

Colors are deceptive on Website
Once again, I buy something (towels) from Overstock and the color you get is not what you order and Overstock does not allow exchanges and charge you shipping to return the item when it is not the color you ordered. I ordered "gray" - which was the color option on their website and when I received the towels were purple and the color on the tags said "grey violet". I did not select "grey violet" towels. This website is deceptive.

Wonderful everyday towels
I would give these towels 4+ stars, almost 5 due to a very minor loom blemish. They feel really soft and absorbent and the mocha color is true to the web site photo. The edge trim is truly elegant and the pile has a nice feel to it. Although I use these for every day, I would not hesitate to put them out for guests. I would definitely order these towels again if available when I need them.

Not that I'm aware of. You can find matching ones at ****. As for me, I just wanted the softness and size of this kind of towel, more so in the winter time than ever. I know they will fade after several washings, but only if you put them into the dryer. I hang them wet on a laundry rack indoors, never on a clothes line as they will surely fade then.
