I bought this to fill a duvet cover set that I also bought from Overstock.com, and I love it! I get hot really easily, so this was perfect for me! It's not too thin, or too thick. It was exactly what I was looking for! I'm very pleased with my purchase!!! It is also very easy to wash!

My husband loves it. And he's high mateince. Hates every comforter I've bought in 27yrs. But loves this one along with the cloud mattress pad... He says it's like taking a Xanax.... Puts up right out. Only problem. Don't want to get out of bed.

    Questions & Answers

    • Q:

"Does this wash OK in a front loader? Also, does the stuffing clump when you dry it?"

      • A:

Does not clump when dry on low tumble setting, also will wash ok in a front loader

      • A:

        It is machine washable.

      • A:

Mine launders great in my front load machine and the filling does not clump up in the dryer. After a while in the dryer, I pull out the comforter and reposition it differently to make sure it can thoroughly dry. On a nice day I've placed it in the dryer for a partial dry, then spread it over my patio chairs to let the sunshine finish the job.

      • A:

My washer is a toploader. So I take it down to my dryleaner and have it back in 1 day. Only $30.00 but packaged beautifully for next usage. I do not want to abuse my washer with the weight. I have 2 that we use daily. Great product. We live in Tucson so this is great for the summer and we have the heavier weight for winter that is also fantastic.

      • A:

I have not washed this yet. Only used it once and had cover on it.

    • Q:

"If I have a full size bed does anyone that has previous bought this item suggest getting a king or should the full/queen cover my full."

      • A:

A full/queen will definetly cover your full bed

      • A:

it depends on what you want it to do. i think what some people don't realize is that a comforter and a bedspread are 2 different things. a comforter is to cover the top of the bed,not to hang down like a bedspread and if you want it to hang over then you size up. i have a gueen size bed and i bought the king because i like it to hang over the edge of the bed somewhat. it does not hang to the floor. so it's really preference.

      • A:

I have a queen & ordered a King just so it would be big enough to go over the sides well. Check the measurements on your bed & see how you want it to fit.

      • A:

I bought mine to go inside a king-size duvet cover for a king size bed and it's not quite big enough to fill in my duvet cover. So, like is already been mentioned it depends on what you want to do. It definitely does not run bigger.

      • A:

I would suggest going up to the king. I have a full/queen and it barely covered the sides. So I had to go back and get the king for more coverage.

      • A:

The queen fit perfectly, with excess, on my queen size bed.

      • A:

The full/queen size comforter goes to bottom edge of the top mattress of my queen size bed (I have a dust ruffle that covers the boxspring). Should be fine on a full. King size would be overkill unless you want it to go to floor...

      • A:

This is a great comforter, esp. for the price. Warm and comfy but not constricting. I have a twin bed. A twin size fits it perfectly, so I am confident that a full/queen will be just the fit you want for your full size bed, with that nice extra room you will have from it being a full/queen. good luck

      • A:

Yeah I got the full/queen size and my bed is a queen and it fits but it does not hit the very bottom. A size up I think would hit the bottoms.

      • A:

Full fits my bed and duvet fine

      • A:

Get the king if you want it to hang to the floor but the full/queen is fine.

    • Q:

"I have a queen bed and was planning on ordering the queen size comforter. Some reviews are saying it barley covers the bed, should I go a size up? Thank you!!"

      • A:

I went a size to king and it was perfect for my queen size bed. Soft and fluffy just like I wanted it to be. Sorry, I didn't take a chance on it not fitting the way I wanted so I did go up one size, for the price it was worth it.

      • A:

I have a queen size bed and bought the king size comforter and love how it covers and the length ... if you have a full size bed you can purches a king size comforter which I have in the past for my full size bed and love it.... if you love the oversized look this is very appealing

      • A:

I have an Olympic size Queen bed and ordered the King size. It does cover my mattress all-around, but definitely doesn't hit the floor. However, for the price, satisfied with weight and quality of the comforter.

    • Q:

"Does it really hit thge floor likje the pic"

      • A:

I ordered the king size and it does not hit the floor. It does not even come down to the box spring. If you have a queen I would suggest ordering a king size.

      • A:

I have a queen sized platform bed, with a mattress only; no box spring. I ordered the full/queen size to fit a full/queen sized duvet cover. The quilt/duvet is generously sized, but does not go to the floor, even though my bed is lower without a box spring. It hangs over the sides about 12" . What I like about this size is the fit; meaning good coverage, even if a bed mate is a cover stealer, without dragging on the floor.

      • A:

i have it on a queen-size Heavenly Bed (which is rather high off the floor) and no, it doesn't touch the ground. It's large, and I like that it does drape a bit, but not as much as this picture.

      • A:

Not on my bed and I have a low bedset

      • A:

Hey, y'all! Just a heads up: IT DOESN'T HIT THE FLOOR IN THE PICTURE. Thats the bed's bedskirt! Its just beige, so it kinda looks like it, but if you give it a good look, you can onviously see its the top of the skirt. - Cheers

      • A:

No, the picture looks like they used a King on a Queen bed. However, it still fits the bed perfectly.

      • A:

A duvet would generally not go to the floor like a bedspread would. I have a queen bed and the queen size hangs to the bottom of the mattress just as I'd expect. I am very happy with the duvet/comforter and the size.

      • A:

No.One side of my bed is against a wall, so I put the comforter on, so the side away, from the wall covers the box spring, to meet the bed skirt

      • A:

No I got Queen it does not even come close

      • A:

That might be a full bed, or it is not on a box spring. Our bed is a queen, and it come to below the pillow-top mattress but does not cover the box spring. We use a bedspread over it.

      • A:

It doesn't on mine but I have a 12 inch mattress and a 1 boxspring plus the bedframe legs are about 6-7 inch off floor. it does cover both the mattress and boxspring with a little to spare tho. Its amazing soft and washes beautifully, but you may need a bed skirt if you have extra depth mattress and springs.

      • A:

No, it does not. I ordered a king size for my queen mattress and that works perfectly to cover the sides.

      • A:

Mine does not. My bed is high off the floor. It does come down enough to satisfy me. You might consider a size bigger if your bed is high.

      • A:

It does not hit the floor. The one in the picture is probably a king sized comforter on a full sized bed. It is a wonderful comforter, though!

      • A:

I do not know as I left it in package until the cool weather...

      • A:

        No it doesn't

      • A:

I bought a king size for a king and it does not hit the floor

      • A:

I ordered a king size for a queen size bed, it fits nicely..no it does not hit the floor, however it the most comfortable comforter, I'm always being asked by my guest, where to buy.

      • A:

Yes on my think mattress set the product hits the floor all around 3 sides. Great product. Love it. Has top quality filler ounces and feels wonderful. After 3 washes still all filler is evenly spread throuout.

      • A:

I have a king as well and it it too small. It barely goes over each side of my mattress and when I put the duvet cover on, I have a little over a foot of unused cover.

    • Q:

      "Is it light weight?"

      • A:

I'd say it's mid weight. Not super heavy but not super lightweight either. Perfect for cooler weather or if your home is kept cool in summer months. If you get hot while sleeping, I'd suggest a lighter weight comforter.

      • A:

It is too light weight! I was not happy with it!!!!! Cheap! Not good quality

      • A:

        Very thin and flat

      • A:

I use it at my house in the Caribbean and it's perfect. It's very light and does not seem to hold moisture. It's much better than down in the tropics.

      • A:

Absolutely. But I find I use it year round (so it's warm enough for winter use, even).

      • A:

I live in AZ and I use this year round. It is light in weight but is warm enough for light weather winters and cool enough for summers

      • A:

I say it is light weight but is warm. I was extremely happy with it and considering buying another one for a different bed.

      • A:

I agree that it is mid-weigh. I would not use in the summer.

      • A:

        Yes it is.

      • A:

Yes, it is light enough for warmer weather. It is very soft and light

      • A:

Yes, it is.. i really love it. I recommend it to everyone.

      • A:

I found it lighter in weight than other comforters I have had, yet it is very warm

      • A:

I found it was way too lightweight. Not what I was expecting but I wasn't unhappy with it

      • A:

I wouldn't call it 'lightweight'. It's good for slightly chilly nights or if you sleep with a ceiling fan, but it's not ideal if you get warm.

      • A:

I feel it's pretty light weight.Maybe almost to light. Doesn't give u that fluffy wrap around u feel, but it works for my college student. Inexpensive enough that you won't be upset if something happens to it

      • A:

        Yes, it is light weight.

      • A:

I would say it is medium weight. I keep it on the bed most of the year and only take it off for a couple months in the summer.

      • A:

Yes, this comforter is light weight but also nice and warm. It is soft and fluffy and keeps you warm on cold nights. I use this comforter on my bed year round and just love it!

      • A:

yes, the comforter was very light weight, but still warm.

      • A:

It is very lightweight and fluffy. Make sure you dry it with tennis balls, though, or it will lose shape. I really liked it, but dried it too high and it's a bit lumpy now. Still, it was inexpensive...not sure what people expect for a low price...

      • A:

        no, no,no, no. There's your 10 characters.

      • A:

No it doesn't but it's a great light weight quilt for the price.

      • A:

        It does not.

      • A:

It does not, but they could be easily added if you are handy with a needle and thread or machine.

      • A:

        It does not.

      • A:

        no tags or ties.

      • A:

No, this comforter is just perfect!

      • A:

No, it's more like a quilt

      • A:

no. it does not have tags but I think you can use in a duvet.

      • A:

I found it lighter than other comforters I have had yet very warm.

      • A:

no, it does not have any type of fasteners for a duvet cover.

      • A:

The comforter does not have ties. I used the ties on the inside corners of my duvet cover to tie a bow around each corner and it has held well for the past month.

"Do you offer pillow shams to go with The comforter "

      • A:

        No pillow shams

    • Q:

"One off three photos, when ordering shows this in dark blue. Can I get that COLOR. Doesn't allow me to choose blue"

      • A:

Not sure why that picture is in there. Comforter is available only in off white.

      • A:

they should remove that. there is a blue option but it's another item number and it's more expensive.. seems like colors are more in some venues. it's a great comforter though at a great price. it's light and super soft and it kept me just as warm as a down comforter that i used to have that was 180 dollars. i love mine. if you want blue, you could always get a blue duvet cover or even take some blue sheets and sew them together and slip it in there. i just put different colored sheets over the top of it because i have cats that would shed all over it otherwise. i'm telling you though, it's a great buy!

      • A:

I don't think so. When I was buying one I looked at the options and that color was "frayed" out. I bought the white one though and I love it. It was a great price and a good quality comforter.

      • A:

Mine was pure white and is spectacular.

      • A:

it's white, not worries. Looks like they showed it in the last photos with a duvet cover.

      • A:

No shams came with mine but love the duet cover I ordered with it and it came with matching shams. This white comforter i used as duet insert!! It's sooo awesome husband never wants to get up in morning.

    • Q:

"SO DOES THIS COME WITH A DUVET COVER?"

      • A:

No. You have to buy the duvet cover separately.

      • A:

        no, it doesn't.

      • A:

        no it does not

      • A:

No, it does not come with a Duvet cover.

      • A:

No it is a comforter. A Duvet cover is exactly that, you put a comforter inside of it. We use ours without a cover since it is washable and when I make the bed I just fold the dressy cover off the bench at the foot of the bed. A comforter is like insulated underwear for your bed, believe me you don't want to sleep under a Duvet with a comforter inside or it, it is too heavy. You would want to use that for when you make your bed.

      • A:

        no it does not

      • A:

No. You need to purchase a cover separately.

      • A:

        No loops on the corners,

        No it does not.

      "Any other colors available?"

      • A:

You could always sew a binding on yourself of see what your local cleaners or tailor would charge to bind it or maybe you could find a nice duvet cover with a satin binding. It's well worth the price!

Not at this time. However, I use this with a duvet cover and it works great. Thank you for your interest and have a great day!

      • A:

NO, it is just a seam, not that nice satiny binding that kiddos love. Otherwise, a good product for the price.

      • A:

The seam is wide and I think he would be satisfied. Mine had chocolate milk spilt on it and not discovered until the next day it was washed and ALL came out like new. I love it.

My duvet has ties on the inside corners. I tied the filler on each corner, and it stays in place very nicely. It is a great filler. Not too warm.

    • Q:

"Has anyone actually washed this comforter? Does the filling "bunch" when washed / dried in a home washing machine set, or should it be commercially washed? I am asking because I have an IKEA comforter that developed cold spots and became lumpy after washing."

      • A:

Hi.. I bought 2 of these and have washed both without any problems... I set the dryer on Medium heat and every once in a while would take the comforter out and un ball it so it wouldn't get any constant hot spots and still be wet in the middle.. and again, on Medium they both have come out just like new with out filler clump balls developing..

      • A:

        Yes, it washes very well.

      • A:

Yes I have washed mine repeatedly because I have two dogs that think MY bed is their indoor wrestling ring. It washes well, I use cold and run it through the quick cycle. I dry warm no issues.

      • A:

Much like Trisha, I have bought 2 of these over the past few years and washed them regularly with zero issues at all! They come out of the dryer good as new.

      • A:

Yes, the fill will move, so best to redistribute it by shaking or relocating it in the dryer during the drying time. I dry on 'air only', no heat.

      • A:

I have washed this comforter and I had no problems. It's been a while since I did because it's on a guest bed but I am guessing I used the gentle cycle and tumble dried on low.

      • A:

Both of my daughters have this comforter and wash it regularly. I have no idea what temperature they use or what setting on the dryer and still it comes out great every time.

      • A:

I have washed mine 2 or 3 times on a normal setting. It does not become lumpy.

      • A:

Yes, I've washed and dried mine in dryer and it still is a good comforter. Initially I was concerned because my comforter never expanded like a puffy comforter, but I have no complaints, you'll find yourself kicking this comforter off of you because you've gotten too warm!

      • A:

No it washed up very nice. Even put in the dryer and it came out like new. I love it

      • A:

I have washed mine a few times with GREAT results! I followed the instructions on the tag and, as will all "puffy items" ,I threw a couple of clean tennis balls in the dryer with it. Always a perfect result.

      • A:

I must own at least 9 of these comforters and use them along with my best Matouk Bespoke linens on the same bed - they are amazing - they wash beautifully in a home machine (the twin ones). I have taken my king comforter to a "laudrymat" because my home machine is small. They do not bunch up at all. I highly recommend this comforter.

      • A:

Yes I wash it it bunches up a little

      • A:

I bought two of these last year around this time. Mine did get a little lumpy, but not terrible. I've washed them many times since and they never got any worse. I'm not embarrassed to have them on my bed since I do layer my bedding and then you really can't see any lumps. For the price, I would definitely buy again. Hope this helps!!

      • A:

I have 4 of these. Queen size on two king adjustable beds. Each folded in half like the beds in Europe. I wash them separately in cold water and gentle cycle. Dry them separately in dryer on delicate heat with 2 small balls that I bought for that purpose. They are sold as a pair. You can also use new tennis balls. No lumps or bumps, come out great. Will buy more as gifts. Live in Arizona. They are cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Light and comfortable and they stay on the bed.

      • A:

Hi, I have one as well. I usually dry it on low and air fluff it. Hasn't bunched at all.

      • A:

Putting a tennis ball in the dryer with the duvet will prevent bunching. Also works for down fill comforters.

      "What it filled with"

      • A:

        Its filled with polyester

      • A:

        Hypoallergenic polyester fill.

      • A:

Overstock's description on the item page reads "Hypoallergenic polyester fill".

      • A:

Seems like a synthetic blend. I just had it cleaned, because I don't have a washer yet, came out beautifully. Lightweight and warm

      • A:

I'm not sure but don't waste your money. It was as thin as a sheet.

      • A:

Overstock's description on the item page reads "Hypoallergenic polyester fill it is very lite weight. it is pretty not a good a good choice if looking for warmth just looks

      • A:

        Polyester fill

      • A:

I don't know what it is filled with but it is supper comfortable !

      • A:

If u don't want any clumping when drying a comforter, put a regular tennis ball in the dryer when drying. It really works.

"Will the "Full/Queen" size fit inside a Full Duvet cover?"

      • A:

I am not using my comforter inside a duvet cover so am unable to give an answer to this question.

      • A:

it will fit snugly, slightly larger than the duvet.

      • A:

Always measure but normally I always try and size UP my duvet to the cover to get that overfilled look. I like to put king duvets in queen duvet covers. If you want a very full look like PBarn, you add two. They do that for photos. Also as an alternative to using a king duvet in a king duvet cover, turn it sideways. Hope this helps:)

      • A:

yes it will.. I have a king size that I will put in a duvet cover ..

      • A:

Mine fit perfectly in the king size. It migt be tight but its worth the try!!

      • A:

Yes it does. We got this as a duvet insert for a full size bed and it fills in the cover well.

      • A:

Yes it fits nicely in a duvet.

    • Q:

      "Is this comforter machine washible?"

      • A:

        Yes it is machine washable.

      • A:

        Yes it is!

      • A:

Linda - I've washed mine plenty of times

      • A:

        Yes, it is

      • A:

Yes! I actually bought for my daughter who is in the Navy and she washes it every 2 weeks and it's still nice and comfy!!

      • A:

Yes. It is machine washable and turns out like new every time.

      • A:

I wash mine often but you do have to fluff it back up.. Still holds it's comfort and appear5ance.

      • A:

I didn't wash it, but I don't see why not. It's completely synthetic, with no down. Absolutely a great buy!!

      • A:

Yes, it washes very well. There is also minimal feather loss and once dry, the comforter fluffs up beautifully. My little one says it's like sleeping under a marshmallow cloud of comfort which describes it perfectly! I so wish they would offer twin size, too.

      • A:

Yes, In COOL water and use a *Non-chlorine* bleach if you wish a more hygienic result.

      • A:

        Yes, on delicate cycle.

      • A:

Yes I've washed mine and it came out wonderful. I do have a washer that holds a large comforter, don't know if that would make a difference or not.

      • A:

Ez care machine washable dry on low heat with a tennis ball to fluff. Love the feel just right for for a chilli summer mornings here in California.

      • A:

Yes. I've had no problems and washed/ dried it many times now.

      • A:

Yes, and it is an awesome comforter. Definitely recommend.

      • A:

Yes Linda, the comforter is washable. Its very soft and light. I Love it.

      • A:

Yes and retains its shape nicely.

      • A:

        Yes it machine washable.

      • A:

Yes, washes very well. I just love it!

      • A:

Yes. I did and it came out just the same.

    • Q:

"can this fit inside a duvet cover"

      • A:

Yes, this can fit inside a duvet cover.

      • A:

Yes. I bought one for my daughter. She uses it with a duvet cover!

      • A:

Yes, it is thin, not like the fluffy down comforters that can be too bulky for a duvet.

      • A:

I haven't washed it yet because it is in our guest room and doesn't get much use. Since it's polyester there is no reason for it to ball up, especially if you wash it in the washing machine and take it outside to dry over a patio table. That's what I do with rugs and bedspreads. Palm Springs is quite warm and items dry beautifully.

      "yes they are finished"

      • A:

It is finished I have just put a king size sheet over my queen one just to protect it from getting dirty from the dogs.

      • A:

Yes, they are finished. The only bad thing about this comforter is - you can't wash it or it gets ruined.
