Your toddler figured out how to open your external or partial opening child safety locks? These will take care of that. If they don't have the magnet key they won't get in. Not a replacement for a lock on anything dangerous like a cabinet with chemicals or guns, etc. It is made of plastic and could be broken into with enough prying. Also not super easy to install. Each one takes 15 minutes or so, and they only work on cabinets and drawers with doors that overlap the cabinet. They work, though!
I am hard on reviews. This item however is one of the best things I have ever purchased. They fit perfectly over standard outlets. They are super easy to intstall. The covers hide old, beat up, or half painted outlets. On top of all that they have prevented my one year old from being shocked or worse... Child outlet plugs can be pulled out. Plugs already in the socket can be pulled out and tampered with. Now when my child pulls plugs the socket is protected. Sockets also remain closed until an adult decides to plug something in. My 9 year old is able to operate the plugs which is good. My 4 year old is not. I think this product is spot on with how it should function in that individuals who should not have access to the plug cannot seem to get it. I will be buying more of these to replace the remaining outlets in my home. These should be standard installation everywhere - schools, doctors offices, etc...
exactly what I needed. My son could get the standard safety plugs out with no problem. These lock so it is nearly impossible for him to do. It is even difficult for me to get out that is the only problem!
