Prior to this chair my son was putting his feet on the table because he had no foot rest in the first seat we had. This chair has allowed him to sit properly and stay in his seat until we are all done with dinner creating a more family building time to socialize and catch up on our day. He also often tries to rock but because this chair is so sturdy I feel he is secure and will not be able to tip over. The only thing I would change is the placement for the black bar in the middle. It is in the way of the setting we want causing his legs to either be a little too high or not let him touch the foot rest.
My grandson at 18 months old, refused to sit in the high chair anymore. So I purchased a booster seat. This seat is is awesome, it keeps him in place on the chair and I'm not afraid to turn my back for a moment, like the days when I was a mom and we sat toddlers on phone books and tied a blanket around them and the back of the chair, hoping they don't break loose.
This is a really nice seat. I've had many, many high chairs over the years. This one straps to the dining room chair so you don't have to take up valuable floor space. Our baby can use the booster mode or the full seat. Two trays provide snacking in between cleaning. This seat is easy to clean too. Not sure why you'd want it to be able to swivel but it does. Reclines for use with baby babies.
