We use this crib at our cabin and it does the job just fine. We did buy a different mattress as the one that it came with is ROCK HARD. But after that our 7 month old seems to sleep just fine. I read others say that the bottom collapsed. That must have been terrifying. But I'm surprised that could happen. Perhaps they changed the design but ours has enough overlap on the frame to hold the mattress firmly. Plus it has velcro rings to hold it in place. It was a little difficult to put together - some of the screws just don't seem quite long enough to catch the threads. But when I took out the washer it worked fine. It folds down easily. It works for us. Nothing fancy but does the job.
We had one of these cribs brought up for a recent hotel stay and knew it was the crib we wanted for rolling around the house and travel. We have a very expensive full-sized crib we simply are not using with our 7 month old and she is too big for bassinets. The crib is built like a tank and looks very nice. We also bought a DaVinci Rocking Portable crib for permanent use in my home office. The included mattress is pretty much identical to the Dream On Me 3 (which we had to buy for the DaVinci crib since it comes with a 1" piece of foam basically :( ). The awesome thing is with so many expensive items for your little one this comes in under $150! I have seen other travel/portable cribs for 2-3x the price that aren't as nice. This crib is not height adjustable. We use it purely for sleep purposes. The DaVinci can be adjusted, however; in "rocking" mode it is not mobile and you have the extra cost associated of buying a mattress for it.
