I know lots of folks rave about this bassinet, which I can understand, but I hope they're also honest about leaving honest feedback. Yes, the size of the bassinet is good for babies under 20 lbs and allows free flowing air through the mesh. HOWEVER... folks need to point out that this only fits certain heights of beds. I, unfortunately, didn't realize that my bed was more lowered to the floor and out of the range of "sleeping bedside with this bassinet where you don't have to get out of bed". I had a C-Section, and still had to physically bend up, which is ridiculous after having that surgery the first 3 weeks, to still get the baby. Also...be prepared to have a bigger than usual bedroom to accomodate the large base legs for this bassinet. The legs are really long!!!! Yes, that means that my toddler won't be able to push it over, but the legs are just too big! And... the bassinet itself is too hard for the newborn to sleep in. You'll have to lay down a blanket or a swaddle blanket to make it somewhat more comfy.
The bassinet is working great for us. We struggled to understand the directions on how to install the nightlight/music box but eventually figured it out.
I gave this as a gift to a young couple with their first child and they love it. I let them pick which bassinet they wanted and this one was their choice. Daddy said that it would make their baby feel like a princess.
