Changing table is exactly as described. It is a dark espresso. Appears very sturdy (have yet to use it; baby has not arrived yet). There is a metal support bar that goes under the changing part (where you would lay a child). Drawers and hamper are made out of a beige/tan linen type fabric. I'm not sure if the drawers would be able to hold anything too heavy as there is just a "cardboard" piece that lays in the bottom of them, but it's not a problem for us as I don't intend to put heavy things in them. We purchased a seperate contour changing table pad to put in the top and it fits in perfectly. Many of the pieces weren't labeled with letters so it did take a minute to figure out which piece was what originally. After that, all you need is a screwdriver and it was put together in 30-40 mintutes. Would definitley recommend to someone looking for a chaning table, wanting something with drawers and sturdy and not wanting to spend a small fortune.
I like the direction the babies bum sits when your changing them. The unit is pretty sturdy but doesn't look that great. I can't stand that all of the metal screw holes are exposed which makes it look cheap! I don't think I would have purchased it if I saw it assembled and on display. Overall sturdy unit but cheap looking and a little too much money for table.
I was looking for a small storage unit and this turned out to be just what I needed in our baby girl's nursery. It was very easy to assemble and matches great with our changing table and crib! I was hoping though for more sturday baskets so I ended up putting in lightweight things such as receiving blankets, burp clothes, etc.
