These pads ARE waterproof but they use a plastic liner. Quilting is sufficient but the lack of breathability makes the surface hot after a few hours or use. Not bad if you only need occasional use. Very easy to maintain.

Nice and thick. Haven't had an accident on yet so not sure how well holds up. Given the thickness, sure it will be fine.

  • thinner than i thought

i like this crib mattress pad but i think i misunderstood what it was for. It looked like the toddler equivalent of a feather bed or something but when i received it, it was much thinner and didn't improve the softness of my sons mattress much at all. I assume it couldn't be very padded anyways in case people are using this topper with an infant due to risk of suffocation and such. So if you aren't looking for something plush but just want to add a bit of padding to your crib mattress this is what you want. (But you could equally do this with some folded up receiving blankets underneath your fitted crib sheet, that's about how thin this pad is.
