Story Behind the Art:
Within the city's medina (center of town), there is a souk (market) where most of the artisans work. This is also the center of trade for each city. Artisans who create Moroccan leather goods are predominantly male. Leather goods are made from lambskin. Artisans live in small villas made of concrete, which is a building material that is plentiful in Morocco and also insulates the residents from the extremely high summer temperatures and intense sun.

Pretty great
All in all, very good. A discerning decorator could note the differences in more expensive versions, but I think its great and will do well in a house with kids and dogs. Needs reshaping on occasion, but overall quite fine.

Cute accent piece
I ordered this Moroccan pouf for my living room. My furniture is a neutral palette so I wanted to add a piece that was really funky and colorful. This was just what I was looking for! It's cute, made really well, and is a fair price. A note - my husband, however, thinks it's really odd. He calls it a "dough ball" and doesn't understand the purpose of it. The ball is a little small to be considered an "ottoman" which is why I think it's more of a pouf chair/design element. I love it!

Great product!
This ottoman was exactly what I was hoping for. Perfect size, color and interesting stitching. The plus is that the ottoman is pre-filled, so I didn't have to worry about what to fill it with. We love having it!
