Decided to upgrade to the "ball" technology even though my 2004 DC07 works perfectly (daughter has it now). After reading reviews, I chose the DC41 over the others because of the longer cord and bin capacity. Once I start vacuuming I don't want to have to stop to empty bin or change outlets. I have a large ranch style home and can plug into a centrally located outlet and be done with the vacuuming lickety-split. I'm not sold on that heavy ball yet, feels a bit awkward and heavy to steer. Also, the vacuum wand doesn't remove and replace as easily as the older model plus the attachments seem cheap. That said, it's still the best vacuum on the market for sucking up dirt and fur (even without the special "pet" attachment). For 25 years I owned a Kirby and prefer Dyson hands down. This refurbished model arrived looking brand new, a fantastic bargain!

when i got the product it was hard to get it to stand upright. after using a couple of times a piece of plastic broke off from somewhere in the inside and doesnt work properly now.

This vacuum came with a part missing but overstock was great about getting it shipped to me. This vacuum works amazing! Its unbelieveable to have seen the amount of stuff in the canister after vacuuming the first time! WOW love love love it! Well worth the money for a Dyson!
