So I searched for weeks for the perfect comforter set for my huge master bedroom. I wanted a statement piece, and I thought I had found it in this one. It looked great for a few days, but then the gold threads started coming loose here and there. I have now had this for a couple of years. Even though I keep an immaculate house and am very gentle with my things, that didn't stop the richness of the wine/burgundy color to get a bit dull and dingy. The sun never strikes the bed, and my dogs and luggage are never placed atop. I guess it's simply cheaply made with inferior materials. Still, though, people think it's gorgeous when I give a tour of the house, but that's because they're not scrutinizing it. The fact that the gold threads keep coming loose is a bit upsetting.
You won't be disappointed with this beautiful elegant comforter. I read all the reviews on this comforter and a lot of them said that it snags easily, and it does. If you have a dog, cat or even rough feet or toe nails it will shag. I don't but the person that sleeps with me does. We fixed that by getting a pedicure for him.
