I needed a queen size bedskirt and this one worked perfectly. The size was just right. I washed it before use, as i do with all linens and it did not shrink. It definitely needed to be ironed and I used a spray starch which made a world of difference. I would recommend it to my friends.
I was not sure about a poly-cotton blend, but it looks very nice indeed. It is great value for the money - all that fabric for $19/20! Sometimes, when you pay a bargain price for bed linens, they are too small, or fabric is skimpy. This king-size bed skirt fits my king-size bed perfecty. It washes well.
I was very happy with the quality of this product. It's open at the top. The stitching is very good. It fits my queen sized bed perfectly. Since it won't be easy to separate the corner stitching, it will not hang well over an extended bed frame. This will be perfect for a platform bed.
I would recommend this bedskirt for anyone looking to not spend too much money on a basic. It is very simple, but looks good when it's on the bed. I bought one in the mocha color--it is almost exactly the same color as it is online. I thought it might be darker, considering the name, but it is true to what my computer screen showed (almost more of a tan or cappuccino color). I bought it for a spare bedroom, where I didn't want to spend too much money--just needed to hide a boxspring. Overall, I am very pleased with the price and the look.
Because Poplin is a looser weave, I choose not to pre wash it before placing it on tne queen bed. The "stay" chemical used to make material look its best I choose to leave and just iron out wrinkles that don't fall out over time. Clean, crisp and new is appearance as I enter the room!
This is a well made bed skirt with quality and value. The price is excellent and cannot be beat by anywhere. You do need to iron it when out of the box, but it stays beautiful and has the custom- made look.
Hello Irw7, here is a list of our bed skirts; http://www.overstock.com/Bedding-Bath/Bedskirts/4530/cat.html?keywords=bedskirts&searchtype=Header. Some do have split corners and some do not have split corners. Thanks for shopping with us!overstockcustomercare1 on Jul 22, 2014
My bed has a head and foot board. This bed skirt does not have split corners which makes to runch up at the bed corners.julie370 on Jul 22, 2014
No split corners which I prefer. My last bedskirt had split corners and all I could see was the metal mattress frame.fromweymouth on Aug 12, 2014
My bedskirt if perfect. Pleats on corners and on center back and center of sides also. No open splits. Fits perfectly on my twin beds. Color matched my comforter, sheets and pillow cases exactly.msgingeranne on Aug 23, 2014
I just have a headboard so this bed skirt works great for megogo40 on Sep 3, 2014
I'm considering ordering a queen size to use as a bedspread on a hospital xl twin bed. A quilt/bed skirt option won't work due to the safety rails. Is this quilt too thick to use as a bedspread?lnb1954 on Jul 7, 2014Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
This is not a blanket at all. Good luck with your search!lauralei99 on Jul 14, 2014
Not thick at all, but it would definitely not work as a bedspread.msgingeranne on Aug 23, 2014
This is a bedskirt, and is very thin. It would not work at all as a bedspread, I am pretty sure.msgingeranne on Aug 23, 2014
Does this have split corners? There are conflicting answers already given, so sorry to ask again.teejay9 on Mar 3, 2014Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
One piece of material, no splits.brightondl on Mar 4, 2014
there is no split only a pleat at the corners and in the middle of the sides.pilgrimote on Mar 11, 2014
They are not split, they are folded to look split.wboaglio on Mar 19, 2014
No, they aren't splits. They are pleated on the corners.rainbrook41 on Mar 21, 2014
No splits, which was a bit disappointing as it's a tad difficult to drape around the bed corners but once you get it worked out they hang beautifully.lanette29 on May 4, 2014
No split corners, just a pleat.suzemact on May 13, 2014
no corner split on the one I got.taraleefarm1 on May 20, 2014
The corners are folded to look exactly like the photo. There isn't a separation of the fabric- so if you are looking for something with fabric that is draped because it is open and hanging- this isn't the right skirt for you.csalt7 on May 28, 2014
is this Bed Skirt has a fabric for covering the Platform Bed Frame from which the bed skirt hangs?aping on Nov 25, 2013Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
Hello, aping. Yes, this skirt has fabric to cover the whole bed, and the skirt hangs from that fabric. Thank you for your interest, and have a great day.overstockcustomercare1 on Nov 27, 2013
don't know why tasha89 said "no" - the original answer is perfectly stated.nrochelle on Jan 9, 2014
I bought the bed skirt for a queen size bed and it fit perfectly. I do not have a platform bed, so I don't know if that would be different. I wanted a navy bed skirt to match the white & blue comforter and had trouble finding one until I looked at Overstock. It was a great find.donnajg on Jan 13, 2014
The corners are not split, but it hangs well once you get it in place.lanette29 on May 4, 2014

There are pleats in the middle of the sides and the middle of the front as well.pbuttercp on Apr 16, 2013
It is pleated in the center of each side as well as the corners. I don't know what the thread count is, but fabric is somewhat course and stiff, although not heavy.hikergirl53 on Apr 16, 2013
There is a please in the middle of each side and the middle of the end, also a pleat in each corner of the bottom. Material is not great, it holds the wrinkles and have tried to iron them out, wash them and iron them out and no luckpattydinks on Apr 17, 2013

Is the center part of this bed skirt the same color as the skirt itself, for instance...if I purchase this in black, is the WHOLE piece black or is the center white?rquinn116 on Apr 8, 2013Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
no it looks like two different colorsjboogy57 on Apr 11, 2013
If you mean the piece that holds it in place between your mattress and spring, it is white and a different fabric altogether.hikergirl53 on Apr 16, 2013
white gauze top and black skirt but it fits my queen box spring perfectly so you do not see the white, especially when the sheets are on the mattress.dakotanurse on Apr 21, 2013
No it is not. The center is of a different material and is white in colornolaintexas on Apr 29, 2013
The piece that lays on the mattress is white.lucyfl58 on May 8, 2013
Both colors are close enough. I bought an off white and both parts seems pretty similar. The mattress covers up the middle part, so it's not visible anywaytypeteacher on May 11, 2013
Can this be used with the uni-matic universal metal bed frame? http://www.overstock.com/Home-Garden/Uni-Matic-Universal-Metal-Bed-Frame/3416601/product.htmlioismileioi on Jan 4, 2013Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
I don't know what the product you're talking about is, but I don't see why not. The skirt has slits up the corners, so it's not going to look weird with any bedframe.nolalauren on Jan 5, 2013
It hangs down 14 inches from the top of my box spring and is about one inch off of the floor. Measure how much space you have. Might be OK to hang on floor but not perfect.craigww on Mar 25, 2013
Does this product have a the drop skirt on ALL four sides?
The question about the daybed use did not clearly state if this product was 2 Length and 1 Width (foot) or 2 L and 2 W (head and foot) for the drop skirt.harlemhaute on Oct 27, 2012Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
This is a three-sided skirt for both sides and the bottom of a bed, so it is not set up for a day bed.overstockcustomercare1 on Oct 31, 2012
