I had higher hopes for the feel of the fabric after reading another review. Make no mistake, the fabric is quite nice, but I was hoping for a silkier and more polished feel. I would describe the weight as "medium." These made-in-India sheets came out of the washer/dryer looking very nice and nearly wrinkle free, but the fabric has a "nap" that I'm not crazy for. This nap is going to grab flannel and cotton bed clothes and hang on tight enough for a serious "nightgown twist" or "pajama wedgie." Maybe this nap will lessen after repeated laundering - I certainly hope so. I ordered "taupe" which is nearly as dark brown as dark chocolate. None of these things are a big enough issue for me to return the sheets, but it's still a bit disappointing and I wouldn't buy them again.
Bought these sheets in sage and think they are great. The color is what I expected. The material quality exceeded my expectations. I have the 8" Serta memory foam mattress that I bought from this site. I also have a 2" memory foam topper that I put on it. WIth the mattress and topper combined the sheets fit very well. They fit the corners very nice and they don't feel like they are about to rip as some others have. Fitted sheet fits the matress surface and corners tightly. Flat sheet is long enough to tuck deep under the footboard end of the mattress and still pull all of the way up to the top edge near the headboard. After 1st wash they were still a little too rough. After 2nd washing they had just a hint of newness / roughness. After 3rd wash they were comfortable. After 4th wash they are perfect. Definitely some of the most comfortable sheets I have slept on anywhere....ever! I don't think I would consider sheets with a lower thread count than these, especially for the insignificant difference in price compared to the several years of use that I will get out of them. Have no fear of these sheets after a few washes. Anyone that would complain about the comfortability of these sheets after washing out the newness probably has a life-long predisposition towards complaining about everything in life... those people annoy me.
I bought these sheets to replace a set of 600 TC sheets that I bought in Egypt six years ago that had worn out. I was sceptical about them living up to the quality of the ones they were replacing but they definitely have! They have only been washed about three times but even after the first wash they had softened up and are very comfortable and they have not pilled at all. I will definitely be buying some more of them.
- Did the color match the color displayed onsite? The color is a little darker than the display
- How is the quality of the product? Excellent quality sheets
- Did the description onsite accurately describe the product? These sheets exactly what was promised in the description.
After purchasing a cheap 200 TC set of sheets from ***, I knew I needed something much softer. I did some research about thread counts, materials, etc., & decided to order these. I was very disappointed to discover that these didn't feel any more comfortable than the cheap set from ***. While the material is heavier, they feel stiff & coarse, even after washing. I ended up purchasing a different brand w/ a 400 TC from *** for half the price, which are far more comfortable! If I were you, I'd save your money & shop elsewhere.

When I opened the package, I thought at first they had shipped the wrong color, but they didn't. I ordered 'taupe' and got that, but they really aren't. Beware, their taupe is "milk chocolate" brown. The cotton is a high quality, but they aren't soft. If you care about wrinkles (I don't) then don't buy these sheets. They wrinkle badly. All that said, I'm not returning them because they will soften and the cotton is a high quality. If you wan't a soft sheet to begin with, buy Sateen sheets.
- Did the color match the color displayed onsite? Not at all. These taupe sheets are brown - darker than they appear in the photograph.
- How is the quality of the product? The quality is good - a nice cotton, but they aren't soft enough out of the package, or after the first wash.
- Did the description onsite accurately describe the product? Not really
Just purchased my second set of these sheets. Loved the first ones so much I purchased a second set as a back up. Reading a lot of the reviews, I've noticed many people saying the sheets aren't "as soft" or "scratchy" when they first washed them. I agree, right out of the dryer they are a bit rough, but speaking as someone who has owned these for a while now they soften up after just a couple nights' sleep on them. Plus the more I have washed them the softer they have become. My old ones looked so silky next to my brand new just washed pair, but I am confident they'll soften up in no time! Excellent quality product for the price, already thinking about purchasing another set!

After years my old sheets bit the dust, requiring me to get some new sheets. All I could find at the places I normally shop offers satin or "Sateen" sheets which at so slippery I could not keep my blankets or pillow on the bed, they just slipped off. My cat would jump on the sheets and slid halfway to the other end before her claws kept her from sliding off the edge. The flat sheet would not stay tucked in under the foot of the bed and the fitted sheet would always come loose at one of the corners. Took me weeks to find these Egyptian Cotton 530 Thread Count Solid Sheet Set, and they are wonderful. Everything stays in place, they are cool and seem pretty solid. After a couple of washings there seems to be no color lose and no need to iron them. Come out of the dryer nice and wrinkle free. Yah.
These sheets are very thick and heavy...nice in the winter. I don't think we would use them in the summer. The burgandy color is beautiful...very rich, but they collect and hold hair. Cannot get the cat hair off of them. They fit my pillow top mattress when they were brand new, but have shruk a little bit with each wash, even in cold water and low dryer heat.
Bought the sheets because they were the lowest priced high thread-count Egyptian cotton I could find without a bunch of negative reviews. They've been everything I've hoped for. Washed several times and so far just as soft and smooth as when they came. No pilling. They've even stood up decently to my cats scratching at them. I recommend this product 100%.
I love these sheets! They came out of the 1st wash pretty soft & flexible - much more so than I expected. They're just the right thickness to feel like quality sheets without being too thick for summer use. (I don't like threadbare-feeling, thin sheets.) The flat sheet is extra long, so there's actually enough to tuck a decent amount under the mattress & hold them in place better than my other sheet sets. Elastic on the fitted sheet holds well. Grab them while you can! I'll definitely buy another set of these sheets.
We have ordered our sheets from Overstock for years. These sheets are advertised as 530 count, which is completely absurd. The sheets arrived and the box was like a tissue box in weight. I held them up and could see completely through them (I could clearly read text in a book through the sheets). Overstock, you should be ashamed for allowing the claim that these are 530 count sheets. We have been loyal customers for years, and this was our last purchase. The quality control is completely gone.
I ordered Queen size ... sheets are fine .... pillow cases which are supposed to be 30" long are only 26-1/2" so pillow slips out (and that's a standard size pillow). Overstock graciously will let me return, so you have to love their return policy! I've decided to keep and just not use the pillowcases.
Who wants sheets that only should be washed in cold water per their instructions? I washed in mildly warm water, cool rinse and the burgundy color ran and blotched terribly, totally ruining the look of the pretty color. Makes no sense to have sheets that need to be 'pampered' like some clothing that require cold water wash, mild detergent (I used a non-bleaching detergent), and low dry. Anyway, Customer service was great and understanding and no problem with returns including covering my shipping. My first purchase with O so was worried it would be a problem. Bought a different type of sheet and so far so good washing them on a 'normal' warm cycle and low dry.
Just like the other reviews state, these sheets are very "scratchy". Also, the fitted sheet is not large enough to fit my queen size eurotop serta mattress. I am debating returning them although since I washed them I would only receive partial credit if any, and I don't know if it is worth it. Either way, $$$ bucks down the drain as I am going to purchase another set. Also, I made the mistake of ordering black, and it shows every bit of lint. The sheets look old and tattered after one wash.
These sheets definitely do NOT feel like 530 thread count sheets. They are rough and feel like sand paper.

I purchased this sheet set and after a month of use and 2 washings, they are pilled to the point of being unusable. I have always been very satisfied with Overstock's customer service, but this time they have not stood behind their product and will not allow a return. Save yourself the money...these sheets are NOT RECOMMENDED!!! I'm sorry to say that Overstock has lost a most loyal customer today.
I bought these sheets 3 months ago for my apartment. They looked nice and were a little rough (as expected for cotton sheets) coming out of the package. I washed them and then put them on my bed. After having them on my bed for a week and a half they began pilling terribly. Its been 3 months and the pilling has gotten even worse, making the sheets extremely uncomfortable to sleep on. I definitely regret making this purchase.
This sheet set washed/dryed and look great on the bed. The color is beautiful. However, they aren't as soft or as heavy as I'd expected. They tend to catch on dry skin or pjs. I hope they get a little softer over time since the are Egyptian cotton. I couldn't resist the price and the reviews on these though. I'm a bit of a sheet snob, so next time, I'd probably spring the extra $20 for a higher thread count.
