A couple of blankets & sheets fit in this bench, and one can sit on it to put on shoes. I wanted it for the bedroom at the foot of the bed, so it is working out well. Easy to clean, easy to get around when getting up from bed. I am very happy with it. We have been replacing clothes & furniture, etc. after a fire for a couple of years, so when no assembly was needed--hurray.
