For a bag that purports to be for carry-on purposes, this bag is big and it is heavy. I just traveled with it for the first time and I am less than thrilled. The two compartment feature is nice, and I like having the garment bag option but also a stow space as well. What I don't like is that having these two compartments makes it such that when either of them is at all over-filled (I had two suits in the garment bag side), it puffs out even more. I honestly don't think it would meet carry-on requirements if anyone actually asked you to try to fit it into those "does your bag fit in here" things at the airport. I can tell you this for sure - it is too wide to roll down the coach aisle of the plane - you have to pick it up and turn it sideways, rendering the wheels useless. Also, it does not fit in the nice wheels out way that provides extra space in the overhead bins. I have always found it obnoxious when people put their suitcases in wheels to the side, and now I have to be one of those people. At least until I replace this suitcase, which will be soon. It is also HEAVY. I didn't notice it when it arrived, but after carrying two suits, two pairs of shoes, and two pairs of PJS in it, along with basic carry-on toiletries I had to give it a significant hoist to get it up over my head and into the overhead bin. If I had it truly full it would be a struggle for sure.
