I've never seen the West Elm parsons desk in person but I have been admiring it for a long time. However, I cannot justify spending over $$$ on that desk. I thought this was a good alternative. Maybe it's not quite as shiny compared to the West Elm desk but I am quite happy with it. The only thing is, it seems slightly wobbly.
