The lowest rating reviews are very misleading. This product doesn't suffer from half of the issues posted in the harshest reviews. I realized this quickly while putting it together. Here are issues I read about, and why they're dumb: The holes don't line up: This happens when the legs on each long side are not screwed in at the correct position within the attached washer. Basically you have an oval washer, and this allows you to move the edges in or out slightly. If you over extend, the cross beams will not reach far enough FOR THE HOLES TO LINE UP. The center legs don't reach the floor: You used the wrong long pieces on each side, flipping them upside down. The result is the beam holding the cross bar is too high up. The cross beam is missing a hole: THIS ONE well umm, yeah there's nothing dumb on the user's part about this one. Yes, basically the center cross beam that goes from back to front has 3 holes for you to attach it to the opposing cross beams. The directions show 4. You'll need a small drill bit and a drill. Honestly, 3 holes would probably suffice. All in all, the bed is very simple and straight forward, which is what I love. It does creek a bit, but you can put small paper towel squares under the cross beam ends and eliminate this entirely.
