You have to throw out the 4'' thickness and the density rating of this foam because it only half there. the top 3'' are a very thin fingered egg crate style that means there is very little foam at all except for the bottom 1 1/2 inch. It is nice soft foam, but it is wrong to call it 4 inch when a tennis ball compresses it down to 2 inch.
