We weren't sure about this initially but by the 2nd night, we were so comfortable; had no more hip, back or shoulder pain. This pad is wonderful. We find that we don't toss and turn as much because the mattress is so comfortable. The accompanying cover is very nice and easy to insert the topper into. I would definitely buy this again. We wake up so well rested.
