An Easy Way to Make A Quilled Flower
from Saint George, UT,  Mar 15, 2012

I have known how to quill for several years. A few years ago, I bought the Cuttlebug (by ProvoCraft) kits for making quilled flowers. They worked well, but not nearly as easily as the EK Punches. With the EK Punches, all I have to do is to punch out two twelve inch layers from two different scrapping papers or cardstock. That's really all there is to it :0) (EK suggests that one uses one layer from a patterned scrapping paper or cardstock.) I simply go down one edge of a 12"X12" piece of cardstock from a plain piece and a patterned piece. After punching both layers, all I have to do is lightly glue the layers together, offside to each other, and begin rolling it up, tightly at first. There are instructions on the back of each package. It helps to add a drop of glue from a glue gun once in awhile. I continue to roll and voila! I have a gorgeous flower - SO easy! I usually add some leaves, from some of my various punches, and I have a "knock-em-dead" front of my card! EK makes three varieties of these punches. Try one and you'll be back for the others :0)
