I previously had the Big Kick and I have to say, I was having trouble with it cutting thicker card stock not to mention that I have shoulder tendinitis and sometimes getting the handle to crank was tough. The Pro is so heavy duty that using the hand crank is much easier on the shoulder. The work area is much larger allowing you to use wider paper and bigger dies. I struggled a bit with the price at first, but it has proven to be so worth it. By the way, Overstock.com had the cheapest price I could find. The only downside is that it is much heavier and less portable than the Big Kick, but I think it's a worthwhile trade off!
