My only problem with these chairs was the assembly. Assembled pretty easily up to a point, though it was tedious having to turn the Alan wrench tiny quarter turns to tighten the screws that were all at such angles that you could not just twirl the Alan wrench all the way around. But the problem came when it was time to attach the seat! I don't know if it was just my set, but the wooden seat parts were just smooth pieces of wood...no predrilled holes or even markings to line up wiht the predrilled holes in teh frame! The directions said power tools wouldn't be necessary and we don't own a drill, so I was forced to hold the wooden seat centered and force a screw through the bottom. This worked well for the first chair, but the second one kept sliding slightly offcenter and I had to keep redoing it. It was definitely odd! However they are beautiful chairs and I like that they are screwed toether, not glued together.
