I didn't realize I was buying two sets of two pillows, so four Serta pillows for a little under $50 isn't bad. However, the pillows don't really look like they do in the photo. They just look like someone crammed a bunch of synthetic filler into a thin cotton sack. The filler is lumped toward the middle of the pillow, and the corners of the cloth become empty flaps. They look pretty pathetic in the pillow cases: just amorphous blobs on the bed. I also don't care for the way the filler feels under my ear. I'm mostly a side-sleeper and have noticed a big difference of the feel of the pillow against my ear in comparison to a Laura Ashley synthetic-fill pillow I already own, which doesn't feel hard against the cartilage of my ear like the Serta one does. I think the thin material of the Serta casing is the culprit, as the Laura Ashley casing is moderately quilted and better constructed. My husband and I have trouble finding good pillows that don't break the bank, so I'm annoyed that it looks like I've failed again with these ones.
