I just donated my 8-month old major brand eurotop mattress to a charity after being tortured with lack of mid-section support. I read the reviews indicating this mattress was very firm so I bought a high-density memory foam topper to go along with it. First thing I noticed was the great support and firmness. I also bought a mattress pad with phase change mateiral to aid in cooling for the notoriously hot memory foam topper. This matress is excellent and the whole package is just fantastic..for a couple of hours, then the pad has soaked up all the heat it can and the memory foam topper gets hot and loses its support. I am going to try this mattress without the memory foam and then possibly a fiber topper. Memory foam, in my opinion, is just a bad idea for sleeping. Anything designed to trap heat and sag at at your body core can't be good for sleep. I went on a mission to find ultimate sleeping comfort and this matress is definately going to get me there. I just have to find the right topper to keep the great support while getting a bit better cushion. So- definately- get this matress, don't get a memory foam topper for it. Try something else. If I find the right combination I'll post it.
