I read this earlier review: "from kltpzyxm from Glen Carbon, IL., Jun 9, 2010" and did exactly as this reviewer recommended, (except I added a few more mattress pads into the mix and I used the wonderful "Prepac King Size Platform Bed with Storage Drawers in Cherry Finish" - Google it!!!). I saved BIG BIG bucks, & I got the King-Size Bed of my dreams! There is practically no "motion transfer" (I get out of bed & my wife doesn't even feel it, I can even leave a glass of wine on the bed & it won't fall over!!), it's nice & soft for sleep, firm enough for vigorous sex, it stays cool, and it doesn't sag - stays nice & even everywhere. Below please read the wise words of the Glen Carbon Genius!!!!! ----------------------------- ***Save 50%*** If you have priced Latex mattresses lately you know that they are very expensive. Most are composed of several (2 to 3 inch) layers of latex with a thin layer of wool on top and enclosed by a cotton mattress encasing. You can build your own All Natural Latex mattress for half price if purchased here! Here's how...Start by purchasing at Overstock.com: (4) "E.C.O. 2-inch Luxury Latex Mattress Topper". 8 inches total - This is soft All Natural Talalay latex rated at 19 I.L.D. (1) "Lambswool Mattress Pad". Adds 1 inch. Provides a layer between you and the latex which allows for better airflow. This is highly recommended! (1) "Allergy Control Cotton Pure Mattress Encasing". I recommend the 12 inch depth since depths of 12 inches and above feature a unique three-sided clamshell zipper opening for easy placement on your bed and because latex is soft, difficult to maneuver and easy to tear. This also keeps the layers together and prevents skewing. If 19 I.L.D. latex is too soft then substitute a layer with: (1) "Zoned 1.5-inch Latex Topper with Velour Cover". I have been in pain for years due to a back injury and was able to sleep only 2 hours at a time but now I have substantially less pain and can sleep much longer every night. *1 note - I waited to see if there would be an improvement and it took one week for my back to adjust to the change but it was well worth the wait. Take the money you saved by building your own latex mattress and build a second one for family or friends. They will appreciate it and appreciate you for many years.
