I was surprised to see it came in such a large box, as it was pre-assembled. This made it very easy to start using straight out of the box, but the back corner of the top was damaged from a serious fall it had suffered in transit, but fortunately it will not be seen much, so I did not bother to send it back. The knobs on the drawers were small cheesy painted wood with a crude wood screw holding them on a rather thin face, so I had some trouble swapping them out for some better brass knobs with the bolts being too long to fit this thinner wood. I had to pile up several washers to make it work. I wish this web site listed what sort of drawer slides their cabinets have. I did not want a wood to wood friction slide, but that's what I got, so it takes more effort to open and close. We had ordered a taller chest of drawers at the same time that did take the better part of a day to assemble. They had just cheap rollers for the drawer slides, but that's a lot easier to use than this cabinet. I am rather anal about quality, so I was able to use glue as well while assembling that one, so it is now a lot stronger than it would have been, but it was not an option with this cabinet, but I think they had used glue.
