This will need a chandalier brace for sure, so make sure to factor that into the cost of the over all installation. If you can do it yourself, you'll save $300.00 smakers. Just get the hand-twistable earthquake brace from Home Depot and follow the directions. This chandalier assembled, tested and installed fairly straight forwardly. It looks amazing when fully lit up. I would suggest a dimmer switch with this one as well. It drives a lot of heat when fully illuminated, so the dimmer helps to keep the power down, and thus the heat as well. I am really happy with this purchase, and it I get a lot of compliments: particularly, "Where did you get it," and "how much was it?"
