This isn't an heirloom piece. It's a "for right now" piece. We bought two to sit at right angles under our view window. They're used as window seating and as excellent storage for our kids' toys. They've held up very well, despite the obviously poor quality (hence the low price) upholstery process. Exterior fabric seems durable, interior fabric less so. Also, it arrived with a "smell" -- that kind of new-car smell that we suspect might be some sort of chemical treatment. If only I could find out what that chemical treatment was... Wouldn't it be nice if manufacturers identified exactly what it is they soak their furniture in???
- How did the color on site compare with the actual product? Good.
- Please tell us about the quality of the product. Moderate to low quality. Good enough for a kid's room (except for the possible chemical treatment)
- How accurate was the on site description of the product? Sizing was very accurate. Not enough info on the interior: upholstery applied with cheap staples, and interior lining of poor quality.
