Just received these sheets. When I removed them from the package, there was a distinct petroleum like smell. As is my custom, I washed them first. That smell while not as pronounced is still there. We'll see what happens with time. I have other pima cotton sheets from a discount store chain and they looked a heck of alot better post wash than these.
