I previously owned a Chi and a Paul Mitchell flat iron. The Chi stopped working in 6 months and the Paul Mitchell broke in a year. I have yet to see how long this flat iron will last, but so far it works really well - better than the Chi and the Paul Mitchell. It heats up faster and does not snag my hair (unlike the Chi). Also my hair is very long and wavy. I have a lot of hair. It only takes me 10 minutes to straighten my hair with the Paul Brown iron. I would definitely recommend this flat iron.
