Good, Basic Recipes

This book is useful for first time bakers. It introduces many techniques for successful baking. However, some recipes are lacking. The cake recipes do not call for any rising agents, so they come out dense and flat. I would recommend it for practicing many different types of sweets. Otherwise stick with well reviewed recipes from the internet.
