I received my mixer in perfect condition with no scratches or defects. It was shipped in its original box with the three attachments. As stated by another reviewer, the plastic chute was not included but this is fine with me because it looked like it wouldn't last long any way. I had been looking at the various models of KitchenAid mixers in local stores to decide which one to get and was surprised at how flimsy and cheap the plastic chute looked. I can't believe a company that makes all metal products would include such a chintzy plastic accessory. It's an embarrassment to the KitchenAid name. Why not fabricate one from sheet metal that would last? So far, I've used my mixer for brownie mix, whipping cream, pasta and pizza dough and it works perfectly. The dough hook makes a nice supple dough. I was hoping I could make butter with it, but I guess a paddle type attachment would be needed as I couldn't get the cream past the whipped stage. I wouldn't pay full retail price for this mixer, but at the refurbished price I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this product. It's nicer than I expected and I'm more than pleased with my purchase.
